$100 off the usual price. Not quite as good as the $150 gift card deal before Christmas, but stacks nicely with the $100 off $500 coupon.

Best Buy also has it for $1349.99 without the bundle if you prefer the Geek Squad warranty with burn in protection ($299.99) - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-4...Id=6416732
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

This is only ideal if you need to fit a smaller TV or plan to use it as a large monitor. In any other case, you should get the 55".

It doesn't "cost more" to make 48 vs 55. The way the manufacturing is set up, they cut 48 w/ 77 on the same panel instead of 55 w/ 65.

The combo of 55/65 sizes are more popular than 48 and 77. So supply becomes limited on 48/77, they keep prices high, run less sales, and demand settles where it does.

They can always lower price on 48's and 77's if they wanted to shift consumer demand in that direction a bit, but they don't need to. 48 is fairly popular among some gaming folks and they are willing to pay for a 4K 120Hz display w/ freesync/gsync. 77 is also serving the premium market of folks wanting high end large displays.

Internally, they likely track sales closely and segment 55/65 as their mainstream products, 48/77 as their premium paying market.
like the other person said, the upgrade is so minor that one can safely buy a CX and not be worried about it. In fact some reviews showed the CX to be brighter.

I was also planning on a C1. But got a CX 55 from bestbuy for $1349 with 5 year warranty. Also just got the free bluetooth speaker in from the promo LG is running. They sent me a PL7 speaker worth $130-180.

Best deal right now is finding the cheapest CX you can find and then get the free speaker through the promo.
Convenience. I believe the 48 came out after the 55. The 55 was frequently cheaper than the 48.

From a manufacturer's stand point, I believe they are able to produce more displays at the 55 inch size than the 48 which leads to lower costs.

I have one of these as a monitor. If you have an RTX 3k series card and an HDMI 2.1, there's no monitor that can compare.

Have had this since November and use it everyday as a work monitor and gaming monitor after work and weekends. Its an awesome monitor.
Run pixel refresh every month, this is my 3rd oled with a C9 in the living room and a B8 in the bed room, no burn ins, specially with the B8 (2018), which has over 3000 hours of on time.

I ordered a few days back and had a moment of panic that I wasn't automatically emailed the $100 Hulu gift card along with the SquareTrade policy. Reread the Costco page and you have to go to a website and enter serial # etc once your TV arrives (same as for the free Bluetooth speaker). Phew!

shame LG doesn't make a 36-42in range for the OLED...

48 is just to big for a monitor IMO I have a 27 and it's practically the perfect size.

I use Plex to watch OTA and movies. Is the TV's own processing power good enough or I need to get a Shield TV?

Thanks for pointing this out.
I just ordered the 65, I guess I can claim the $100 Hulu GC even though it wasn't listed!

Went with the 55" , can't justify paying the same price for a smaller screen. Stick Out Tongue

Can't wait to see the improvements, coming from a 6 year old sony edge lit lcd.

depends on your needs. im using a 65 inch samsung 4k, 1440p 120hz as my regular everyday entertainment system - pc, ps5, tv, webstream. etc.

I really want a 4k 120hz 65 oled cause thats the only tv with 4 hdmi 2.1 ports. I would upgrade my samsung tv to 4k 120hz but sadly they cheaped out and gave only 1 hdmi 2.1 port. Such a shame...

I had this TV and was using as monitor. This is perfect size. However, I returned it after over a month. Playing 4K games (Apex Legends) was perfect with my RTX 3080. However, when it came to work, the auto brightness thingy (ABL Auto Brightness Limiting) kept turning the brightness down as soon as I had 2 excels or any windows side by side. I would purchase this monitor if there is an option to turn off this in the future even if it means burn-in will accur.

Our 2011 Panasonic 42" Plasma TV is still great. We may be looking to get a 65" OLED or something, but seriously, what is going to last 10 years?

Yeah we still have a 42" 2007 Panasonic Plasma in the house, its made its way to the basement and still used once or twice a month. Plasma TVs were amazing tech at the time, but compared to today they consume a ton of power and put out a lot of heat.

In the same boat. Have a Panasonic 42" Plasma that I bought in '09 and it has worked flawlessly until a few days ago when it started exhibiting a small vertical line. Looking at the CX OLEDs now but I'm going to miss my "little" plasma.

Yes but we only spend about $45 on power per month by never leaving lights on in unoccupied rooms or running unnecessary tech like power supply bricks left on. The Plasma TV heat is nice most of the year. It still has a better cinema image than most new TVs which tend to show us every pore someone's face.
