Use code browse5 for 5% off. Don't usually see codes that will work on Le Creuset skillets and these prices are way lower to begin with than other sites.
Free shipping and I didn't have tax (not sure where they collect)
hard anodized le creuset pans are made in china- the same as allclad's and pretty much everyone else's as well these days.
there's no reason not to go with something like t-fal or some other mid tier name if this is the type of pan you want as you won't notice anything different in quality or performance, which is why this hard anodized stuff is made in china to begin with.
if you want something of the quality that reflects the brand name, stick to their cast iron products that are made in france.

Have you cooked with these? There are many quality items designed all over the world and made in China. To suggest you wouldn't notice the difference in this and t-fal tells me you've never used these. They have some of the best heat distribution I've found at any price point.
I have to disagree. It doesn't matter where it's made from. The thing that matter is the design, technology and quality and assurance test done on the products. I have used many different kind of frying pans t-fal that you suggested is one of the worst frying pans I have ever used.

Actually, yes, I have. Friend has one that was given by Le Creuset as a replacement for another pan they had where the finish failed and the same model wasn't available. There's no appreciable difference between it and the T-Fal hard anodized chef's pan I use. Unless there's a manufacturing defect, hard anodized is going to be pretty much the same across the board.
I'm a big Le Creuset fan, have their enameled cast iron grill pan and dutch oven, both of which were made in France are high quality...but there's 0 reason to buy this pan at this price. If you want a top named brand hard anodized frying pan, swing by HomeGoods/TJ Maxx and grab an AllClad for ~$40 when they have them. They've also outsourced their hard anodized line to China, and look to be the same quality.
In my experience, all non-stick pans wear out or get scratched...even if you only use silicon utensils and a non-abrasive sponge. Spend your money on stainless/copper/anodized non-stick pans...I'm tired of spending $100+ only to have to toss them 6 months later.
I've found the Tramontina Professional Non-Stick pans at Costco.com are really good, and fairly inexpensive...about $30 for a 8 and 10 inch if you buy the double sets.
I can go through 4 sets of these and still have spent less than one set of these Creuset pans.

You're out of your mind. You realize you can't crank these pans up to full heat and keep them there right? No non-stick pan will survive that. You probably should stick with cast iron. Those $30 pans are definitely releasing all kinds of crap into your food if you're cooking that way.
I just received my Creuset pans and they are awesome...they do come with instructions recommending occasional seasoning and to not take them above medium heat for very long. If you've ruined these in the past you are doing something wrong. Please tell me you don't put your pans in the dishwasher...
