Who knows why the question asker didn't look it up - maybe they looked and couldn't find it, maybe they figured someone else just knew offhand, maybe English isn't their first language, or maybe they're just lazy.
Point being, no one knows, so there's no need to be a prick about what could be a very legitimate and honest question. And if you think someone is being so "silly" (ie, lazy, reading between the lines), why bother spending time to look up info to just throw it in their face? Rude.
