Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Correct. I have done that at least 4 times.
Is there a waiting period after you pay it off?

It's deals like these that it's always good to not waste a lines promo on the free a32. A $175 IPhone 8 gives ya a decent phone that holds it value for future trade deals, as opposed to trading in a junk phone, for a close to junk phone like a32.

My concern here is that it won't come in time to do the promo. But if you buy from Swappa, even for a few bucks more, you instantly get the IMEI so you can do the deferred trade in with TMo.
How do you get the IMEI instantly? Do you have to request it specifically from the seller? Thank you.

Question about buy phone on swappa.

If I bought Iphone 8 on swappa. Does the seller send IMEI after complete transaction ?
If you have already purchased the phone then you can ask the seller for it I'm sure they will give it to you, it is not customary to send the IMEI usually the seller just ships the phone.

I have an Iphone 6 Plus (64GB) and an Iphone XS (256GB).

Debating which one to trade.
I'd sell xs myself and buy iPhone 8 for this deal. at the end, you got iPhone 12 and some extra money in your pocket.

I think this might be the deal that finally makes me jump. I've been on this iPhone 6s since 2018 and been wanting a new iPhone forever.

$380 trade for a phone I bought brand new for $100 and used 3 years is a solid deal. Sadly not seeing any cheapo 8 and up phones locally to buy and trade. .

They are slow........
You get the standard TIV credited on 1st bill then whatever the difference is to $830 gets divided by 23 and that's your credit each remaining month.

so if I trade in my Iphone X for $153, Tmobile will give me $677 as credit statement to go towards my monthly bill?

So I assume you can get more expensive variants like more memory and just pay the difference.

Let's say I want the 128gb version for $50 more. Can i pay the $50 up front or will that have to be financed?

YES, $830 in total bills credits over 24 months. The catch is it's broken up over the 24 bills.
