Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

They have changed the term and now require activating a new line.

"Activate a new line of service on an eligible plan."

I had that happen last week for the last promo.

The seller said he couldn't getting me the IMEI right away since he wasn't in the office.

I asked a few other sellers if they could provide the IMEI AFTER purchase (which is seemed to annoy the Swappa staff).

Bought another phone and the IMEI was provided immediately as the seller said it would.

Ended up getting a refund on the first purchase.

Question is now do I try to return the 12 Mini I got last week and do this promo instead??
Thanks for the response. Wish this was clear from the start . Every time Swappa is mentioned in these post everyone makes it seem like the imei is given right after purchases automatically.

From the main post: GUYS, DON'T GET CONFUSED WITH "iPhone 12 Get one on us with every plan" vs "iPhone 12 Now in purple.
Perfect for Mom. On us." promotion, both are under the Deals section on T-Mobile website, but the Mother's Day Promotion won't be available until tomorrow.

Just click the OP's link and "See this deal".

- What it used to say: "1. Have a qualifying line of service on an eligible plan."

- What it says now: "1. Activate a new line of service on an eligible plan."

Stop spreading lies. For the last time, the offer has not started yet. It says May 8, which probably means not until Saturday morning.

Indeed. Press release is clear no add a line. We just have to wait until May 8 likely 12 am pst since T-Mobile is WA based. https://www.t-mobile.com/news/off...t-t-mobile
