Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Yes I was also told it will take 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to start. So you'll have to pay for the 1st month or two. However the bill credits will still be for 24 credits so you'll still get credited the full amount according to what was explained to me.
Thank you, I feel better.

Wow. Plans are expensive. Kills the deal for me. I'm paying 35$/line/month with Verizon for unlimited everything. T-mobile is north of 70$ for the same plan. I just want new iPhone on deal.
Same for me. I am wondering if we can purchase a single line first and then find a family/group plan to join in, but don't know how the monthly bill credit works after we join a family plan.

Do you still have an EIP on that line? If so, pay it off and you will be able to get this promo. If there isn't an EIP on that line, you are good to go.
I have EIP last month. Can it be done online or I have to visit a store to pay off?

You can view all the EIP's on your plan on the site. It shows the remaining amount for each device and how many credits left, etc. You can also make a payment on a specific device.

T Mobile is an absolute nightmare to fight with over promised bill credits and manager callbacks that never come. I want to murder the lying store manager that promised me a certain amount for our phones, sold us 3 new ones, added insurance to all of them without asking, then promised to apply a bill credit manually each month after T Mobile was unwilling to do what he had promised and he has since ghosted me. T Mobile service has been decent but I would never, ever, ever buy a phone through them again that involved bill credits because they will screw you at every opportunity. Buyer beware!

I have the same and paid off 375 and was able to order.
Since the device is paid, you would get the free credits for it at the account level. i do get for my S20 FE similiarly.
May I ask: After paying off your S20FE, how long before the line in your account showed as eligible to upgrade your handset? Immediate? Hours? 2 days?

Looking to buy an iPhone 8 for trade in. The ones from Facebook market place are going for $300 by me. Ebay seems to have some under $200 but not sure if they will be trade in worthy.
What are you guys doing?

Never had that experience but I don't go to the store... t Force on Twitter is my fall back for complicated stuff if online chat does not come through

I feel like stores are their own entity so your experience will vary

what was the advertised promo that he was supposed to put you on?
And yea, a lot of cellular reps are sneaky. Adding insurance that you did not ask for. Telling you you get free accessories but it's really broken up into 24 payments on your tmobile account.

I have T-Mobile. Have a paid off Note 20, traded it directly to Apple last week for $450 credit towards iPhone 12 max.. So I could've got $830 with this promo ? I am correct ?

Check your local Micro Center store (if you're lucky to be next to one...).
