I asked if i would still get the bill/promo credits for my Samsung phone if I pay it off early and trade it in for the $830 iPhone credit promo.

First rep told me if I pay off the old device the credits will stop to give way for the new promo as they cannot give 2 promos on one line. Second rep told me if I pay it off early the promotion applied to it will drop off since the first requirement for the promo is to get the phone under the installment plan.

I'm currently at Costco doing this deal- if you do the deal here you save on activation fees and get $30 shop card per phone. Only catch is that they order the phone and you have to mail in the device still instead of in person trade in.
For a trade in or new activation? Thanks

Anyone know if you can trade in two phones (I.e., an XR and a 6S) for a single upgrade to get the pro max?

Before I venture out to a store in hopes of same day trade in, my wife shares the simple choice family plan with her sisters. I think I read one reply where it worked with simple choice. Other question is: Does the main account holder have to be the one to do the trade in/upgrade if done in store? I figured worse case her sister who owns the account can do it online. But instant gratification is what we're all about amiright? Smilie

No for this specific deal it's a TMobile deal only and can't touch the Costco inventory so it's regular pricing. Plus most of the time for Costco IPhone pricing it's only if you buy outright and not EIP
Damn, thanks. What about the $30 Costco card, where is the info for that?

Have to wait for UPS delivery.
Thank you for reply.

Direct Delivery may not help me to save $15 sales tax of iPhone 12 Frown , my city sales tax is higher than the Costco located city.

$30 Costco rebate is good deal .ApplauseApplause

Looks like you don't have to pay off the old phone, unlike the previous deal.

If she's an authorized user she could upgrade it

Just did the upgrade over the phone and it was seamless so far.
Initial out of pocket looks like this:
Device/Accessory Description Cost/Down Payment
iPhone 12 Pro Max - Pacific Blue - 256GB $199.99
iPhone 12 Pro Max - Gold - 128GB $99.99
Sub Total $339.98
Sales Tax $181.35
Estimated Shipping $14.99
Total $536.32

I think they said there was a fee for doing the upgrade over the phone of $20 but that seems well worth it to me given the many pitfalls and cost of screwing it up Smilie
Rep said the new monthly fee would go up by about $8 per phone ($16 in our case)

So if you do the math that works out to $536+($16*24 Months)= $920 over the next 2 years for roughly $2500 (including tax) worth of phones.

Also we are still on the 55+ senior plan that runs about $70/month for 2 unlimited lines.
Can you get a 3rd line for free if you do 2?

Yes, because they will ask for SSN and ID to verify the primary owner. Just like you wouldn't let anyone open or sign something that you're not authorized and have to responsible for all the charges down the road.
