Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

It takes time. I did a promo in store last week and my line wasn't enrolled in the promotion until the next day. You'll get a text.
Thanks for confirming. I was bit worried that they screwed up something in the store 😀

Wondering what the best option would be. Going to a T-Mobile store and giving them the iPhone 8 but paying the $20 fee per device or Costco to avoid the fees and get the Costco cash card, BUT have to ship out the phone

If your local Costco has fewer people, or you do not mind the wait, I would choose Costco vs local TM store.

I dont get it, how is this a "deal"?

You need to activate a brand new line, pay for a brand new phone, give up your old phone and then get the money back incrementally over the next 2 years which is basically a 2-year contract despite no contract.

I would suggest you read pages, then you might "get" it, the deal that is.

Kindly suggest focusing on getting a new line part..

Or, yes, this is not a deal, for some at least

Wrong, you do not need to activate a brand new line. Nor do you need to pay for a brand new phone up front.

You don't need to activate a new line, and you can trade in a low-value phone like an iPhone 8 toward $830 off an iPhone 12. Many people have no plans to leave T-Mobile. That's why it's a front page deal.

Is Costco offering this deal witha trade in?
its the same deal. instead of doing at a tmobile store, you do it at a costco kiosk. the benefits are no trade in fees like tmobile charges, a $30 costco gift card and you get the phone inspected on the spot.

I ordered an iPhone 12 early this morning with $0 down payment but when I tried to order another it asked for $500 down payment. Anyone else experience this and how does the down payment work?

Is there anyway to pay the differences up front? I don't want to have to finance $170 upgrading to the iphone 12 pro max 256gb. Or will I need to go to the store to do this?

The down payment applies to the cost of the phone and the remainder is financed over a 24 month period. I believe they deem it based on your credit score.

On the last part, it depend on which Costco you go.

Many in my area simply took the IMEI, and told me they do not inspect the trades as they do not want to be responsible.

I only showed them the IMEI on the phone box

Daughter getting the iPhone12. What's opinion on best options for accident insurance on these things? Her last phone was through Costco and got their plan, but now direct through TMo. I don't worry about insurance but she does. Thanks
I believe some credit cards actually offer phone insurance for free if you make payments with the card. However I never claimed such benefits so I don't know how they actually work.
