Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

so im planning on trading in my iphone 11, and just assume that im qualified for $830 trade in credit. im going to get the 256gb iphone 12, so basically im going to pay the down payment and tax when i place the order. however, the trade-in credit should cover the retail price of the phone, yet i still have to make a monthly payment of $9.75. Can someone explain it to me?
Quote from Bulletproof23 :
You will receive 2 credits. First credit will be lump sum value of the trade in which I believe is 234 and 596 in bill credits.
yep what bulletproof23 said...
The 234 will be credit first as a lump sum.... but then they want it back in 24 months... 234 / 24 = $9.75

I traded in a 64gb iPhone X today for an iPhone 12 Pro 256. It was really easy. I was worried I would get less than $830, thinking they would pay more for high storage phones and less for mine. But received the full $830. Niiice

Hm. I wish they took 5s as a trade-in for this, as my Mom still has one of those. I have an XS--does it seem like this is a decent trade-in for that? I have no idea how much these go for, as I usually end up staying with one phone until I run it into the ground.

It asks to pay the device mostly, anyone experiencing this? Tmobile app.
Means you don't have enough financing available to cover the full amount (finance up to $830). Any memory upgrade or model upgrade (e.g. Pro, Pro Max) would be due up front as well. You can pay off some of your devices or just pay for most of the phone up front. You'll still receive monthly credits and up front credit equal to the full $830 or whatever tier you're trading in for.

XS would probably go for a couple hundred, if you don't plan to leave T-Mobile I'd definitely trade in for a 12. New battery, 5G, potentially much more trade in/resale value down the road.

The Supershieldz tempered glass screen protectors have always been good for me. They're cheap but adhere well (and come off easily!) so it's what I've been buying for years now.

I just did the trade in, typing this using the new iPhone 12. They make me pay $173 in total for 2 phone right there. I think $20/phone ordering fee from the store and $133 tax.
They said the credit should come in within 2 weeks. It's pretty simple and straightforward.

Question..
This morning I ordered a new phone with T-Mo online and they provided me with a label to print out and mail in my trade in phone which is a Iphone XR with cracked back glass.

I went into a local t-mo store late this evening to get in on a second deal as this promo is limit 2. While in the store I did a second deal and provided a phone to trade in on the spot. I asked the rep if they thought T-Mo would accept the broken glass on the back of my XR and I showed it to them. The rep said that they would definitely take the phone as a trade in at the store and he double checked with his boss who looked at the cracked glass back and verified that the store would take it.

My question is, if I did the deal online and have a printed return label to mail my trade in, can I walk my trade in phone into a store and turn it in store or do I have to mail it in and risk it being rejected later because of the back glass being cracked?

I wish I had waited and did both deals in store but too late to go back now.

Please check my math- for a iPhone 12 MAX - total cost = 1202 (in NY with tax and shipping) pay up front 202 bucks) leaving balance of 1000 financed - trade in IPhone 8 phone (bought at microcenter for 217 (with tax) - 1000-830= 170/24 months = 7.08 per month.. So, 202 (up front) + 170 (spread over 24 months) + 217 (iPhone 8 cost) = 589 total (roughly)

Am I missing something here?

Never had an issue with Swappa so far, IMEI's and conditions always check out, not like ebay.
How do you check Imei after you bought at swappa?

Is it call serial number ?

Thanks

I asked the same question, but no answer. I went ahead and ordered the phones. Got IMEI right away.
Is it call serial number on the receipt?

Thanks
