Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Yes and No.

You get to keep the credit (moved to account level after pay off) if you do any thing to this A71 (sell on eBay etc.) except when you trade it in for another EIP.

https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...al-creditsYou may have one Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo ... [t-mobile.com]

Yes and No.

It was explained earlier in this forum thread. You can keep the credit (moved to account level after paying off) even if you sell it on eBay for example, except when you trade it in for another EIP.

If the first EIP device (still under 24m agreement even if you pay off early) is used to trade in for a second EIP, you lose the credit on the first EIP device.

Your choice. I called and confirmed with CS too.
What if you sell device and someone else uses it as a trade in on a T-Mobile account ? Do you lose the credit ?

To share with you,

Bought a t-mobile iPhone 8 from Swappa for $190, received serial instantly, tried to do the trade in through t-mobile app & website and got "we hit a snag error", talked to t-mobile expert and did the trade in for 12 pro max 512gb and I can confirm the credit but I had to pay higher down payment to offset the 512gb.
Thanks

Why all of you are silent about the recent Samsung A32 free phone promo that millions of you on slickdeals took advantage of? It was a big hit and there was very long thread. The reason I asked is I took advantage of that free phone with trade in of very old working phone like millions of you guys did . I paid it off in full $282 so I can do the iPhone 12 with trade Ron of my XS . It is on same line . Since the bill for this was not generated yet and my billing circle date is every 16 of the month I fear not getting credit on the Samsung A32 phone. Let me know how you did this
Do you still see yourself enrolled in the A32 promotion when you go here?

Exactly what I was thinking. Makes no sense what he/she is saying.

Stupid question but if I buy this online or through Costco kiosk, would the info (contacts) transfer over or would i have to go into a store with the new phone for that?

If the store accept it, they will have to deal with it. When you sign the paper to finish the trade-in, you should be fine after that. Just make sure to keep your receipt and all paperwork. I have previous trade-in like that with T-Mobile before.
Good to know it worked for you before, thank you!

I called 611 and they said if done through 611 get phone at home and do data transfer and then send the old one back.
For in-store, they also said that would get phone and a return label for the old phone.
He also said the 830 credit was for the 128 GB model...
Comments here suggest 830 is for 64GB...so that's a confusion.
I was thinking of doing Costco, but overall might be less hassle if just done by 611/support.
Ill be calling the store here in a bit to see what they say...today is the last day.

Info transfer from where to where? You mean from your old phone to your new phone?
When you receive it, you can take the time to transfer the info between your devices before you send in your old one.

It's even less hassle to do it yourself online. Why not do it that way to avoid the $20 fee?

Can't seem to find anyone that's talked about this but how long does it usually take for the trade in company to approve the trade in?

I have a blocked iPhone 8 that a friend gave to me. Everything works and it is a tmobile phone, but does not get signal because it was not paid off. I use it as an iPod since it can't be used as a phone. Anybody has experience trading in a phone like this? Would trade in be denied?

some people prefer to do it in-person just so everything is clarified and more 'personal'.

When ordering online where do you get the shipping label to send the iphone 8 trade in phone?
You should be able to find it on this page:
