Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

You can choose to trade-in the 8. TMO won't have the IMEI in their system so you'll have to provide it to the agent. Make sure you tell the agent you're doing an iphone 8 and not the X on your line.
Exactly this. Just came back from T-Mobile store and did the deal. Traded in an iPhone 8 I bought from Microcenter yesterday for $200. The phone that WAS on my account was an iPhone XS. I'm keeping the XS to re-sell, and told the guy at T-mobile the trade in phone will be the 8. He said no problem and processed it just fine. Now I can re-sell the XS, and this new iPhone Pro 12 will cost me nothing out of pocket.

When the 13 comes out in the fall, I now have a 12 Pro that will get the best trade in deal available to upgrade to the 13.

On the trade in page, Pixel 3a correctly shows $380 in promotional credit. But Pixel 4a shows $88 even though in offer it is listed as $830. There is no mention of a promotional credit.
have you figured out what is going on with Pixel 4a. I'm getting the same problem. it is only giving me $88 even though it is listed on the promotion as $830

Can I order two upgrades online, and combined shipping? Or do I have to order one at a time?

Did you do it on the spot? Or will you be sending the 8 in? I'm not home to physically trade in the phone?

Can you please tell me the name of the Costco Deal? A T-mobile rep is asking for the name of the deal probably to verify. I couldn't find it online anywhere. Thanks in advance!

I did it on the spot. Tmobile does charge you the extra $20 support charge for doing it in store, but the convenience of not having to mail a phone in for approval (and something possibly going wrong) and not having to wait for a phone to be shipped was better for me.

Well ... technically it does cost you $$ as in the $200 you shelled out of pocket for the microcenter phone. And any $$ you recover by selling the XS means you are out of pocket 1 spare iPhone.

Use T mobile chat through app. I was able to get a $30 credit and all the Costco benefits (no activation fee, free 2 day shipping, waived $20 chat fee. Plus they have all the colors/capacities). I did it this morning. Good luck!
Had the same issue just now at the Costco in Torrance. The rep showed me the system would not let him place the order even though it showed availability.

I just did it with current line via the app, I'll deal with it when I'm home and have access to the 8, worst case I'll return the 12 and wait for 4th of July sales. Thanks for the info, turning in an 8 make this deal smoking hot!

I'm doing this via my account and I'm not talking to an agent. Should I opens chat with them and ask?
More straightforward if you chat with an agent. In addition, ask them to waive the $20 assist fee. And ask for free ship while you're at it. :-)
