A $50 spray bottle?
It's a... $50 spray bottle. It's certainly cheaper than retail, I'm not knocking the deal.
I guess it's pretty much the same technology but I'm so used to seeing the name Hoover on things that suck. Whereas this device blows instead

Can I make my own solution for this? Like one with baking soda in it?

I imagine it would be okay as long as the baking soda is fully dissolved. This sprays a light mist.

Seems pretty clear it was designed to take advantage of needs with the virus and is now going to sit on shelves unless the price drops.

This is a glorified spray bottle. If someone looking at this is interested in more EFFECTIVE spraying, you could look at an electrostatic sprayer. I haven't done much research on prices since I don't really need perfect sanitizer application, but I know Ryobi has one for $200 or so at direct tools outlet. That's a product that actually improves application by charging the solution particles to stick to surfaces that typically don't take cleaner well.
