I got in on this deal the last time it popped up. We're still on the original cartridges and we've not had the chance to see if after-market cartridges are any good, but I sure hope so.

This device DOES NOT have duplex scanning abilities and you have to flip your page over like a peasant if you want to scan both sides. We scan once every few weeks so it's not a hassle for us. But if you scan a lot, keep this in mind when purchasing.

Have this. I would suggest you make sure you install drivers from the website or CD for all units. Windows drivers work initially, but then can't reconnect. Don't know why. Works fine with official Canon drivers though.

Just got mine in today and holy cow, it is freaking loud. It's like a jet engine taking off. I will be returning it to Best Buy. What were they thinking? Super disruptive. My lawn mower is more soothing than this thing.
