Costco has Jura E8 coffee machine on sale. Some of you might still have that Costco $100 off coupon to make this deal even sweeter. We got this coffee maker last week and it is a big step up from our old delonghi magnifica.
It is over $ 2000 everywhere else.
We just bought this as a retirement gift for a coworker... They are head over heels for it... this is a great price - $400 less than what we paid on sale at Sur la Table ..
Good machines. I have a different model. The only thing I dislike about mine is that the coffee isn't as hot as I would like it to be.
Go into the temperature settings and raise it. Granted we have a Z6, but the boiler in this should still get the water hot enough to burn your mouth. In fact, on the milk cleaning cycle, that water should be too hot for you to put your fingers into the rinse water.
If your temp is maxed out and it's not burning the crap out of you, contact Costco or Jura about a warranty claim.

Hmm. I figured it's a universal problem as many blogs had a similar comment. I will contact jura. Thank you.
No it is a good deal OP, I repped you. A lot of people on slick deals don't understand luxury items, and that there can be good deals on those too. That or they are hating. This is rarely this below MSRP that I have seen, so thanks for posting.
We bought this same unit from Costco last year. Total thought $1600 for a coffee machine was over kill, Jura proved me wrong. My wife never drank coffee and now uses it more than I do.
As far as temp I did have to custom program my coffee to hot (fairly easy process). You can change default for each of the different drinks to your likely.
Completely different machines. Jura is fully automatic, that makes espresso, capuchino, lattes and so on with just one push of the button. Breville is semi automatic, still can make milk coffees but takes longer to make most drinks as you have to grind beans and heat milk. Some people say good semi automatic make better quality drinks comparing to fully automatic. Anyways both machines could probably make better drinks than most Starbucks or places alike.
As expensive as these things are, they actually can work out over the long haul. Our old E8 has made us over 50K cups. If you do the math it comes out a fair bit cheaper over that period than using pod coffee and of course is about a million times better. That said I would never look at this as a way to save money, only that you may be able to justify it a little easier.
$100 off coupon make it $1500. if you spend buy $5 coffee every day, it takes less than a year to cover its cost. this is better than Starbucks coffee and is mostly on par with specialty coffee shop's brew.
our jura ena micro 5 last us about 5 years now - it needs some deep cleaning up to do (PITA to disassemble it to clean). worth it even if I can't fix it. lol

I have the LCD Oracle that replaced my Jura 2000. The Oracle makes way better coffee, but makes a bigger mess.
The Jura 2000? What is that?
