game changer for handheld mode

i cant play any other way and much better than those grips they sell for joycons

only downside is there is no rumble
Am I just being dumb or does this design seem like it could put a lot of torque on the rails of the switch and break it if a bit of pressure is applied or if dropped.

I'm quite happy with how the switch feels with the Satisfye grip. I also like how securely it holds the switch and the joy con. Definitely adds structural integrity where you can hold it with one hand without worrying about it.
What you're showing is just a grip, and does not functionally change the buttons or sticks. Not saying the Satisfye isn't worthy of consideration, but it's kind of an apples and oranges comparison to the Hori pads.

I use these (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087M9Y...E869WT3Z0A). Unlike the Hori, these have their own battery and can be detached from the console. I bought them last year and haven't regretted my choice. They feel great to hold too.

There is no better switch grip than the Satisfye ZenGrip Pro and it's nearly half the cost of this slickdeal. Their sales videos show how much consideration the put into their products. I bought the standalone grip but then I went back to buy the Elite case bundle (can't buy the case by itself, but its fine because I can gift the extra grip to my friend). I let my coworker hold it for about 30 seconds and he immediately bought the Slim case bundle. You know as soon you feel it in your palms.

edit: I have been informed that this slickdeal includes programmable and turbo buttons which makes it a different product and justifies the cost difference. But if you don't care for those extra buttons, I highly recommend the ZenGrip.

Can confirm. Zengrip is awesome. And u don't lose the functionality of the joy cons (rumble, gyro).

But these seem cool too. I always wanted to try one out

How loud are the buttons? My wife plays at night and the regular one joy cons are so loud and snappy/clacky.

I got these because the buttons on the right grip are off to the side and not right above the analog stick like the stock joycons. Thumb gets really uncomfortable after awhile and this 100% makes the experience better. This is like playing with a pro controller.

There's a couple usb-c dongles that work for switch. I have a usb-c external monitor that I use, never thought to have the console in my hand while I use it.

The grips are very comfortable, I like that they are bigger than the ones that come with the switch and mirror a regular controller.

FYI these only have 90 days of warranty. Loved it until my left stick started drifting. Contacted Hori and they gave me some "tips and tricks" that didn't really help and otherwise said I was out of luck. They also responded a month later, but it was right around when COVID first hit.

My biggest complaint about the Switch is comfort in handheld mode. This completely fixes that. I do wish it had rumble, and of course it completely removes portability, but for playing a game on the couch or in bed, game changer.

Do these pads fit okay with a switch in a typical travel case? And do they slide into a traditional charging dock?

Edit/Update: Researched my own questions and found out these pads will not fit into a typical travel case. Not a deal breaker for me. Also these do not need to be charged. They are powered by the Switch itself. In which case, I'm spending the extra $4-5 and getting the red pads to match my red Mario edition Switch.
sadly no.... I have to pack mine separate. Almost a "must have" if you had any control issues w/ default joycons. I could not go back to using them. These are totally jawsome.

I highly recommend this carrying case for anyone that gets the split pad pro, makes life way easier and killed the need to constantly remove the Joy-Cons.

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08ZKTJ8J9/

I've moved on to the BinBok Joy-Cons, I legit missed rumble and some games I play still require gyro, and I still use this case even though it's not custom fitting as it is for the hori split pad pro but I added a bumper inside to accommodate so it wouldn't move around as much.

Anyone looking for another case that support the switch with these controls then the KEMOVE X DIERYA Keyboard Travel Case is almost a perfect fit. Yes the name is not flattering but it works well. It is $24 on amazon and I have never seen the price change. I already had the case for my keyboard and decided to try it on the switch with these controllers. It fit perfectly do I ordered another just for the switch.
