i can deal with big (48mm is a sweet spot for me), but the thickness is a not an endearing quality i look for in a watch. this makes my navitimer (43mm) look like a baby.

Not my personal style but I don't think it's ugly. It's a pretty iconic watch imho that can look good on someone with big arms and wrists.

Too busy for people with eyesight issues even at 50mm.

You wouldn't look out of place even if someone photoshopped "Invicta" or "Diesel" on the dial at this size.

Plenty of big guys this would look better on than a "regular" sized watch that would look like a penny on their wrist. Breitling is also nowhere near the same category as Diesel or Invicta so not sure why folks are mocking it as if it is. It's a very reputable brand and watches like their Navitimer or Super Ocean are some of the most recognizable pieces around. Having said that - it's a look that's not for everyone - like so many things in life.
