I've taken the time to do a little hunting. Sometimes I hit no problem. Sometimes it takes a little searching. Sometimes it takes talking to not 1, 2, or even 3 people. Just depends on how much you want the deal and how much leg work you're willing to put in to get it
Going to AP the in-laws with Ethernet back haul.

Depends on your priorities.
W3600 is just dual band. Not a big deal if you can use wired back haul. AX for back haul should help some compared to AC dual band, but not as good as a dedicated channel. Also, assuming you got the ~$40 sale rate that's a great price.
M9+ has zigbee and tri-band, dedicated back haul if meshing fully wirelessy. But "only AC."
Cost above else, w3600. It also has more future-proof for WiFi 6 devices.
If the zigbee feature is good for you, that's a cool value-add for the M9+.
Personally I'd do the w3600, I can wire them and I already have a zigbee (SmartThings) network including repeater switches, so the M9+ benefits don't do much for me.
Look at some towns like 30-40 min away from you on the Walmart app and Brickseek plugging random zip codes. Brickseek was spot on for this TP link deal. I bought two and left 1 for someone else. Multiple of the netgear and other routers too. Lots of smart home stuff too. The 40 min drive was worth it for me to explore a new town and scenery alone. Also since the Walmart was in a rural town, stock and clearance tags were accurate! Employees were willing to help and the manager was joking with me "thank you for helping get rid of our clearance" at the register. A complete 360 from normal Brickseek deals I usually try and find near my house in the city. I really wanted this router and glad I was able to score 2.
