The was price at Amazon is wrong. At Lowes this bit set was priced at $14.98. At $5.67 this is a closeout price. I bought it and still think it was a hot deal.

Normally I'd go for Milwaukee, Dewalt, or Makita bits but for $6 I'm in for one!

This is a pretty bare bone non-impact rated kit with a (very) small selection of common sizes. 1 bit per type/size (except for PH2). The bits are very easy to pull out, unlike many other brands (Milwaukee, many Ryobi, old style DeWALT). The tilted 1" insert bits facilitate removal, the case has external tabs for snapping several together (VersaStack system?), but both contribute to the thicker than necessary case. The (non-magnetic) nut drivers and socket adapters are made in Taiwan. Other accessories made in China. The clear case is a plus and I will likely reuse it to store something else.

Price is decent for a non-YMMV deal but many recent Lowe's clearance, mostly-B&M deals are much better if you can find them (bigger sets and impact rated).

YMMV deals never happen at my local Lowes. I have this $6, 24 piece kit, and I bought the $19 CRAFTSMAN 47 Piece (CMAF1247) at Lowes. At Christmas time it was about $11 at Amazon and Lowes. I like the 47 piece kit the best,but it is not on sale now. I don't know why Amazon calls it a drill bit set.
