Craftsman seems to be a forgotten brand with little appeal…on par with off-brand options. Can't recall the last time I bought a Craftsman tool. I do still have some decade+ old ones that are still in rotation.

Same case as the dewalt which I really like. Takes the same inserts. However, for $10 getting the normal dewalt kit gets you some extra bits and an extra insert which makes it still a good if not slightly better deal.

I was talking about this with my Dad the other day. I had a Craftsman shovel from the 60's that broke a few years before Sears went under, and they replaced it no questions asked. My craftsman screwdrivers, wrenches and sockets will probably outlive me and they're already 20-30 years old. However, I won't touch their drill bits - the quality is just mediocre anymore. I've had multiple Craftsman drill bits break over the last couple of years…it's just sad.
