Anyone know if the PS is replaceable? Thinking of getting this for my son to replace a 5 yr old PC and adding a GPU later.

This would be a good deal if it didn't have the usual HP touches such as only two RAM slots. I like the APU but not in an HP system.

How much are you losing with 1 Ram stick when it is a dual channel system?
I purchased this system and added an additional 16gb of matching Samsung M378A2G43AB3-CWE RAM, and it has made a world of a difference in both productivity benchmarks (Puget systems Lightroom benchmark), and games (RDR2 went from avg 25 fps to a much more playable avg 33 fps) due to operating in Dual Channel.

It just switch to delivery but says will ship when available.

God only knows how this will turn out, I have $120 in rewards to burn by the end of the month. If it doesn't ship by them I'm not sure what will happen to my rewards.

Edit: Not allowing me to apply rewards so I'll just have to wait.

There was a lengthy thread about this system just recently.

For those who are curious, the CPU in this is very close to the 5800X in performance (in other words, it's a monster), however the motherboard and power supply are proprietary (in physical shape and connectors), so video card upgrade options are extremely limited.

To add insult to injury, one user reported that the motherboard in this also does NOT support ANY older AMD CPUs, so if you are considering buying one of these with the intent of swapping in a different CPU to resell the PC and then using the 5700G in a real gaming system (because it alone is worth $400+), there is no point, because this HP will not work with anything but a 5x00G series processor. So, you'd be stuck with a $550 PC with no processor, that requires a processor that cannot be purchased at retail. Might as well just buy the 5800X or 5600X from the start.

I can't think of any possible way to use this system to the full potential of the extremely powerful CPU without being hindered by something that cannot be upgraded.

Don't fall for these deliberately neutered PCs desktop PCs that can't be maintained\upgraded in the long run. This way of designing computers is bad for enthusiasts, consumers and the environment. This is planned obsolescence at its worst.

If someone figures out a way to use an older Ryzen APU in one of these (updated\hacked BIOS, etc.), the story changes quite a bit, but the system itself offers almost no upgrade path for those interested in games.

It's super easy to work on for a proprietary system and there's a lot of room inside for as small as the case is. There's one screw holding on the side panel. That's all you need to remove to access the memory or m.2 slot. If you want the drive cage out of the way, you can unscrew one more screw and it swings out of the way and off. If you want to remove the DVD drive, it has a plastic lever thing and slides out after you unplug power and SATA.

I'm used to the old days where working on Dells, HPs, etc. was like trying to solve a Rubik's cube to get into them. The proprietary power supply sucks, but it's nice in a way. There is very little cabling inside to cable manage or block airflow or get in your way when you're working on anything.

The worst thing in my opinion would be replacing the mini PCIE network card. I swapped in an Intel Wifi 6E card and attaching the hirose/u.fl antenna connectors requires better eyesight than I have any more. It took longer than I thought it would and kind of sucked. On the positive side, there were already 2 antennas installed even though the included card only used one.

What a deal, they were selling the 5700G for that price by itself a while ago on eBay.
