I love the design of this model but it is the MINI 5/16 glue sticks not the more common 1/2 inch.

Lol so all the brushless tools they made that were lighter is because women complained?

Or how laptops used to be 8lbs or more and are now under 2lbs? Because women complained?

The whole thinner/lighter stuff is all because women complained?

Thanks for the insight I was not aware that women have secretly been improving the world around me. Interesting. Here I thought they were just sitting in the kitchen making me a sammich.

didn't even know this existed until now

i can't really think of a reason why i'd need this over the regular Ryobi 18V glue gun, though it is much smaller and lighter weight though since the battery is not connected to the actual gun itself

Hard to justify this one unless $10. Shitty plug in guns are like $8 and smaller.

How can you even compare the 2. One is a shitty cheap small plug in glue gun and this is the opposite

Perfect with free shipping. Direct tools regularly has this for $20 but has a flat rate shipping cost. Thanks!

You need a RYOBI battery and charger as well. It doesn't come with a charging system. It's good if you already have those.

How does this compare to the previous? Clearly smaller but needs to be connected to the stand to heat up? How long does it hold?

Looks like not all zip codes have this price - mine showed $24.97 so switched to different one and got $19.97 with free shipping.

Looks like it takes mini glue sticks, and is for light duty jobs. The bigger version takes full-size glue sticks, and can stand on its own (as opposed to requiring the base). Seems like the other one is for heavy-duty stuff.

Oh, and the bigger one is $30.

I have been using the standard 18v Ryobi glue gun for over a year and love it. Purchased this little one for my wife for her craft projects and she enjoys it. I have only used it a couple of times when needed inside the home when I was too lazy to get mine out of the garage. I have to admit that I was impressed with the smaller unit enough to purchase one for myself.

I hope Milwaukee makes an M12 version. Even an M18 would be okay. I just don't want to have another battery system.

I'm kinda all in in dewalt but I have about 7-8 legacy ryobi tools that still work fine though my batteries are garbage. I just can't see discarding the tools so I'm waiting for another battery sale. I may pick this up for the giggles. The smaller sticks don't bother me. I find them regularly at the dollar store for well a buck so cheep enough. Thanks.
