As far as I can tell Best Buy offers Washer parts+installation for $30 extra, and drys parts+installation for $55 extra. That's $85 in all (Home Depot offers the same for $98). If you need Haul Away, both have it for $25. I do realize that Costco has 2 yr warranty, but the only paid options are 5yr or so, so not sure how much to price that at. Practically most people will just pay the $85 extra for installation and keep it at that.
Also, don't forget that Costco deal assumes you have a membership. I don't have a Costco in my city (Albany, NY). So to get the Costco deal I'll have to pay $60 for membership, vs $85 for installation with Best Buy (I don't need haul away). Now, if I'm not mistaken every $250 purchase at Best Buy nets you $5 worth of points. So $1500 will get you $30 in points. Plus this deal will elevate you to elite membership (yeah, it's just a small perk, but still can come in handy during thanksgiving. Moreover, if I'm not mistaken Best Buy elevates you to elite immediately, and it lasts the following calendar year as well.)
In the end, price wise, both deals seem comparable to me after you factor in membership vs. installation costs. And if you consider the rewards earning at Best Buy, it's practically the same. For the same price, I might as well get the newer 4000 model at Best Buy versus the older 3900 model at Costco.

I am not looking forward to replacing my units either. I had to buy another set recently (guest house) and picked up a good condition set off Craigslist as I could not justify new prices now.
