This is as low as it goes, but just a wireless charger that's slower than others (10W). It'll charge Pixel phones at 11W but nearly $40 is not a good value for standard wireless charging. You could easily find an alternative for half that price, even without a sale.

To clarify, it is one of the only wireless chargers that will charge a Pixel 3 at 10w, as all other wireless chargers (except for a special Belkin one) will only charge the phone at 5w. Pixel 4 can reach 11w on some other wireless chargers.

For all wireless charging-capable Pixel phones, this stand unlocks a few special features when the phone is docked, such as a photo album feature that works a lot like the Chromecast photo album does.

I've had this for a couple years but haven't used it with my 4xl much because it doesn't charge through my Moment Lens case.

While I agree that if you use a random wireless charger with your phone there is a chance it can cause harm to the battery, is there actual quantifiable evidence that using a Google branded fast charger with a Google branded Pixel phone kills the battery?

No, there is no evidence. It is a great charger that works well with a Pixel, hopefully Google will continue to add more to it.

Yeah.... but the alternative probably won't be the same quality as this.

Also... this charger works with the iPhone SE (2020).

FWIW, I used one of these w/ my pixel 3xl (in OtterBox commuter case) for 2+ years. Last month took the case off to clean the phone and the battery was bulging so bad both sides were splitting. I guess this has happened for enough people that Google will still replace the phone while being out of warranty. 5w slow charging is now plenty for me!!

The Belkin chargers do the pixels at 10w and can be had for as low as $15 at Costco. I believe the normal price is $20.

That's why I don't think this is good deal.
