This is a great deal, for comparison, the $800-100 model sells for $989 at best buy, $1100 at home depot. Same for the fancier models.

Bought the 404 the last time it went on sale for $759 (front page deal) after holding out for a Bosch forever. I have been extremely pleased with both the performance and the quietness. The 3rd rack is actually useful and takes a lot of cups and glasses, leaving valuable room for other items. Middle rack is also adjustable and allows for bigger pots and pans to fit into the bottom rack.

This is a new generation of Kitchenaid dishwashers, nothing like the crap they used to sell. I know this for a fact because this replaced a piece-of-junk Kitchenaid I previously had which was horrible every which way. I was very skeptical buying another KA dw but bit the bullet given the many favorable reviews. And ZERO regrets.

I just bought the Samsung dishwasher from Costco: https://www.costco.com/samsung-to...85137.html [costco.com]
Should I cancel and get that one instead? It's $50 savings but I'm not sure if Kitchen Aid is better.
Samsung generally makes very unreliable appliances - that being said, I'm sure there's some in there that are better than others so can't really speak your specific model.

Exactly. Horrible experience with a Samsung fridge, washer and microwave.

Noob question...are most dishwashers the same size? If I have a standard dishwasher, this should be able to replace?

Anybody know if I apply for a Costco Citi Visa I'll get the number/card in time to order for this promo? The banner says 4-6 weeks for processing but maybe someone has experience with this?

Bought the 404 model...hope it will live upto its standards. Bought a coupon off ebay (50 off 500) for $18, used Discovery with 5% CB and 2% Costco CB...not a bad deal. June 2 delivery.

I believe nearly all have identical width and depth. There are some that are slightly taller than others, sometimes due to a 3rd rack or other feature, but even then the difference will be less than an inch, and some are adjustable in height. Basically, they'll be in the range of 33"-36" height.

Lowes says this washer has a "minimum" height of 33.63" and "maximum" height of 34.63", so it's slightly adjustable.

You'll just have to measure the height just below your counter to be sure, but it'll probably fit.

Do we need to remove this dishwasher before they install a new one? How does Costco works?

My French door refrigerator and the reason I will not buy LG again. The compressor died right after 5 years. The compressor has a 10 years warranty, but labor for only 5. So I had to pay 300+ for the guy to come out and replaced the compressor. Now the compressor is running a long but the temperature fluctuates wildly 37-48F. The freezer goes 0-25F, so my ice cream gets melted.
I'm on year 4 of my LG side by side. I do notice temp fluctuations, but nothing too severe. I can't keep milk (unless it's lactose-free) in the door in door compartment, as there are 10 deg fluctuations in that area and it'll spoil quickly.

It's a very nice looking fridge (black stainless) and I like how the ice maker compartment is built into the door (thus saving a rack in the freezer), but if I had to do it over again, I likely wouldn't buy LG.

The GE I got back in 2003 (it was the cheapest model in their lineup) lasted 14 years, so I just hope this LG matches that.

When it comes to any type of appliance from any brand, all of us are playing the reliability lottery no matter what we buy. I just do notice more complaints about Samsung and LG compared to other established brands. But nothing is infallible.

I'm sure there will be plenty of people who buy Samsung/LG and get their 12-15 or so years out of it with no problem, but it's all just a lottery and the most you can do is play the rep game of going with the brands an models with the fewest complaints.

I have the 704, and it's amazing. Had it about a year and have had no issues. As others have said, the top rack is actually useful. We drink a lot of coffee and now those mugs go on the 3rd rack and we still have plenty of room for whatever we use to cook dinner. All the other dishwashers I looked at only had room for utensils on the top rack, which is better than nothing but a long way from this design.

My only complaint is that the silverware holder doesn't fit the handles on our forks/spoons, but that's a minor complaint. I just removed 1/2 of the holder's grate and put the knives on one side and all others on the open side.

We replaced an older dishwasher that came with our house that sounded like a lawnmower when it was running. You can stand next to this one and sometimes won't be able to tell it's on. If you have an open concept house then that's a game changer.
Thank you!
