As someone who works for them, I'll add some details about uBreakiFix. We have a 90 day nationwide warranty for repairs that does NOT cover accidental damage if you drop and crack your phone. When we do repairs on Samsung/Apple OEM/Google devices such as in a screen repair or battery, we use OEM parts and adhesives, as well as press pads, so when you get your phone back it should be water resistant still, especially for Samsung's.

I took advantage of the deal last year. I'm still using the phone. I had zero issues.

I just got back from getting this deal. drove an hour one way for the cracked screen repair. Waited the 2 hours they said it would take and went in to get my phone. (Samsung S20+) while taking the phone apart they cut the 5g cable inside the phone. the phone is garbage now and the part cant be replaced, so I have to bet a whole new phone. Huge headache. really disappointed.

Just picked up my Note 8 Screen repair. The ended up breaking the back glass in the process (and replacing it) but I got the screen repaired in hopes of a higher trade in amount during Father's day. So I don't really care.

Their terms say that if your phone is lost or damaged while in their possession, they will provide you with a new or refurbished device as a replacement.

There are many reddit posts about similar things happening to others. I believe most of the UBIF locations are franchises, so it seems like the franchise owners take it upon themselves to try and get out of paying for replacement devices, since I'd imagine that even one mistake cuts into their profits pretty heavily.

Look them up on reddit and follow the advice from someone who was able to get a resolution. If they did in fact break your phone, it will probably be a hassle to get resolved, but you should be able to get a replacement if you're persistent.

Had my S9 repaired yesterday for the advertised price. Took them almost all of 2 hours. They did break the back glass while taking the phone apart so they replaced that too, free of charge. I was in the waiting room the last few minutes before they gave me my phone back and I heard the repair person ask the other employee if I had come in with a cracked back glass (I had NOT, it was perfect)... this was asked behind a closed door, but I could still hear them talking. Luckily the other guy had obviously seen my phone before taking it and attested to my back glass being good before going in. Feel like the person doing the repair cracked my glass while doing the repair and was going to try to push the cost to me but luckily that didn't happen. Ended up getting a new phone basically... same old internals, but new front glass, new back glass, new battery. Only thing I would say is the new screen is slightly darker than my old one? Not sure if it's just placebo tho. Phone works perfectly tho, I was very satisfied.

I have very little to complain about from the two UBIF locations near me on Long Island. The owner is the one who sets the standard for the repair quality and overall culture. The ones here usually have some scifi movie playing on the screen (almost always Star Wars) and the workers are usually gamers.

I have had my store do three repairs total for a Note 8 and Note 9; two were under warranty. Waterproof seals were restored (its just some gasket material thats included in the OEM repair kit), and all in all, it was all finished in about an hour and a half. Mind you, in the agreement, they *own* all of your broken parts after the repair, even if it was not under warranty. That irked me because I am used to demanding parts back to prove the repair, but it is indeed on the receipt.

Important to note: ALL samsung screen repairs by default include a new battery. That fix by itself is usually $90.
God bless that owner and his staff. Wish others would follow suite.

One word: Insurance.

If the owner has the proper coverage, it is just a temporary set back. If they don't, yeah it is probably coming out of pocket.

NEVER cancel the appointment.
I went one of the branch but it did not open due to the covid. So I wanted to cancel and make an appointment at another branch, but then the note as below was popped up.
'Promotional screen repair pricing is only available once per customer and it appears you have already used your eligibility.'
I ran into this. You'll need to contact Samsung to have them manually fix this. It's a pain, but it does limit fraud. Their rules for us to play buy. I'm just grateful they are allowing it.

Samsung repairs are all-or-nothing, so they would most likely repair the back glass for full price (around $59.99), plus the $50 screen repair price
Are you sure that back panel costs only 59.99? Do you have any idea whether they replace frame?

fark this store. I scheduled it via Samsung as the local store by me, and when I get down there I get refused saying "we don't honor Samsung care"

Well then why did the Samsung system let me book it at you?!?!?!

Had to cancel my repair request, and then what does the Samsung site tell me when trying to book a new one? You are not eligible for this promo because you've already used it.

Tried calling Samsung and got no where.
Same experience. What a stupid online system. Seriously? I did the chat which was useless. And did the phone call and was also useless. They're telling me it'll magically work in 24 hours. Yeah I would bet big money on that not changing past 24 hours. I hate these stupid employees who just want to get rid of the customers talking to them.

How did you contact them to have them fix it? All I got was a bunch of useless idiots. Samsung chat and called them.
