I think it has been lower close to $1200. Plus there are cashback sites and credit card percentage back. Too bad no Amex Offer to coincide with this deal. From previous years, the Dell Amex offers usually come around November/December.
I don't understand why you would spend this much and not just get a 4k tv with gsync and hdmi 2.1. You can get one for similar price with a better brighter display.

I use a 40" 4k tv with chroma 4:4:4 and I'm looking to replace it. Input lag, choppy mouse on desktop are too much for me.
I thought there would be a downside to getting a $170 43" 4k TV to use as a gaming monitor, but there isn't. It's amazing at 60hz and 444 chroma and works great for competitive online fps games.
For minesweepers, maybe. Otherwise, input lag, and pixel latency kills the deal for any type of games.
For FPS games, on top of those two mentioned above, you'll need AT LEAST 120hz or above. FPS is a genre that requires a quite of investments in gears. The frames between 60 and 120+ are night and days. Well, of course, unless you are in the most bottom of the rank tiers.
I've played on the $1000 high end monitors. They're nice, but they're not going to improve your game much unless you are the 1% elite that game every day all day.

I have to disagree.
I was a casual gamer, was actually very good at some older FPS titles on my 60hz TV, but sucked at Warzone. I got a Dell gaming monitor with 120hz and it was night and day. My KD has literally doubled since I purchased it back around black Friday.
