Just a comment.. the 120Hz ClearMotion is marketing. It's a 60Hz panel, no matter what, which shouldn't be surprising given the price point.

I'm pretty sure this is the retail price for it, at least every time I check in store that's the price it has. Never seen it go for more.

Great TV, ok deal. BJ's had it for $180 about a month ago.

TCL > Vizio when it comes to budget TVs imo. Every Vizio I've had is plagued with HDMI/CEC issues. TCL just... works.

The TV is good but the roku is a dog. It's ok if you are patient or upgrade the device with another roku or fire tv or chrome...or apple tv if you must

How does this 2018 model compare to the 43S325 (2019?) or 43S435 (2021)? Essentially the same? I'm seeing those on Amazon for $266 and $288. Worth the extra for a newer model?

After 3 years, my TCL 4k TV got the Black Screen of Death. For the price I paid, I am not that disappointed, but I feel I should get a few more years with it. But, yeah no more TCL TVs for me.

Won't buy another TCL. bought a 43" and HDMI port died after a few weeks. Warranty wants to ship it back won't cross ship (does anyone?). Decided to file a claim with AMEX and got a credit fortunately, but won't recommend their TVs anymore.

I bought the 43S431 a few months ago at Walmart ($228). After about a month I had dark shadows on all the channels but resolved after a few hours. Was told this is actually the first stage of a backlight failure. Called TCL and the rep claimed she had never heard of such an issue. Returned it to Walmart and bought another 43S431. Biggest complaint is the tiny Roku remote which is painful just to hold in my hand.

My two cents. I have had two different TCL Roku Tvs and both died just months post two years. They both had the screen go black but could hear the sound. Tried all the trouble shooting listed in the TCL forums only to have the sound go too. I have an Insignia that is over six years old and still kicking with a great picture.

What a bad deal. I got a 49" one from target clearance a year ago for 180$. This would be a good deal at less than 150$.

Inflation and supply chain issues. Those deals are unfortunately long gone.

A lot of people have complained about terrible TV shipping from Walmart. Has this improved?

I would say, it will depend on your PC video card. It could be bad or good. The aspect ratio is one of the reason it might not be a perfect size as it can be too large horizontally or vertically, some video card would work well if VGA is used on the TV monitor and not the HDMI, some PC video card will work better on TV HDMI. But if you are just using this for a bigger view than your laptop? then go for it. You can always return it if you really don't like it.
Thats not how video cards and external displays work at all lol

Bought this exact model a couple of months ago at this same price. Use it in the bedroom for just light watching and really enjoy having one single remote to control everything.
I have another 65" TCL and very much appreciate having the Roku interface which helped make the decision to buy a bit ago.

I would agree with others that this is not an amazing deal, but if you like the brand (I haven't had any issues) and the interface its a solid but not great deal.

Note: the mounting brackets do sit a bit low just in case that is a concern if you go to mount it.
