Not everyone play FPS game that need 1ms. There are other games you know.

Is that really the consensus? Millions of gamers via steam surveys are on 1080p 60hz monitors. 1440p 100hz is night and day different. This is a gaming monitor through and through.

I've had this now for almost a year now. Great monitor- I don't game or anything but for work it definitely takes the place of two smaller 23in monitors in my workspace.

It seems kind of weird to see someone comment about having better screen real estate as a 32" 16:9 actually has about 18 more square inches of area than a 34" 21:9. and the 34" is only about 3 inches wider.

Don't mind me, in my mind I've been debating whether it would be better to get a 34" or a 32".
Not saying you're wrong about 34 vs 32 but this monitor is a 35 so it does have a larger area than a 32 at those ratios.

You brought up a good point though and this link may help some people decide.

Ah, good catch. The 35" has 6 more square inches of real estate, my bad. What's really interesting is that the 35" has 23 more square inches than a 34". I wonder why we don't see more panel makers making more 35-38" ultrawides. It probably has something to do with maintaining a standard resolution while retaining a 21-9 aspect ratio.

I had this monitor, it's trash for gaming, it's SO blurry. The panel response time is garbage over 60hz, even at 144hz the panel can't keep up with the refresh rate.

sold it and got a 144hz 1ms Korean panel on eBay, it's so much better. unfortunately these older VA panels are not it for gaming

Details? Price? Model? Does it work well? Is it curved?

They are always rebranding them, you gotta get on the forums to see what's the best right now. The brand/model changes every 6 months or so.

Pretty solid monitor. I am no expert at setting them up or anything but I enjoy it. It does have some issues with darker tones though.

The Samsung is a 75Hz panel. This a 100Hz panel you can tweak. The Samsung will likely look better and decent warranty service.
Likely look better? If you don't know, why state it? What is your experience with the warranty on either? I've dealt with Monoprice for years--never had an issue. 1 year 0 pixel defect warranty. On the other hand I had a Samsung TV that died in 14 months and they would do nothing--$3000 TV. Concerning other comments -- some people look for maximum frame rate and some like higher quality settings in which case most GPU will not run ultra high settings at over 100 FPS, especially on 3440x1440. But hell if you are someone spending $2000-$3000 on a 3090 then I guess you wouldn't be looking at a $300 monitor.

Also Monoprice has Monoprice 27in Zero-G Curved Gaming Monitor - 1500R, 2560x1440p, QHD, 144Hz, DisplayHDR 400, AMD FreeSync, VA Panel for $199.99. 1 Year Pixel Perfect Guarantee
Forget about confusing guarantees that make you count dead pixels or figure which screen regions they occupy. You don't want any dead pixels on your display and we don't either, so for a period of one year we will replace any monitor that develops a dead pixel anywhere on screen.

Unfortunately there is no standard industry wide standard for response time. Most will report some type of gray to gray response. Same issue exists with projectors and in the old days rear projection televisions.

I bought from Target a couple week ago at the same price as others have said. Similar feedback to others, it's been working great for productivity, colors seem a bit 'off' but I'm still playing with the settings. I bought that $20 gas desk arm that was on sale the other day and it works amazing on this thing. I've tried on my gaming computer with my 3080, this experience has been hit or miss. My computer is quite a bit away from my desk so it could be a cable issue. I bought a DP cable to run at 100 or 120hz and try to use g-sync. Even testing some games at 100hz has created some issues, screen goes black randomly, weird artifacts. This happens with HDMI and DP cable. I'm going to do more testing and see if I can get it figured out. When it is working for games, it looks great. I have read about some weird issues people have with this monitor, so just be ready to do some tweaking if you're trying to game at high refresh rates/overclock or try to use g-sync. As a productivity monitor it should work right out of the box.
How do you over clock it? I just need a new cable to allow higher speeds?

This monitor doesn't have G-Sync. Freesync is not G-Sync. Freesync works flawlessly and this is a fine gaming monitor if you don't play competitive FPS.

Set up a custom resolution in the Nvidia drivers, it lets you set the refresh rate there

I have it and don't recommend it. The main reason is that it's very unreliable when used with Gsync. Screen will black out and/or flicker most times so you won't be able to reap the benefits of Variable refresh rate with nvidia. Haven't tried with AMD so it might be good there. The curve is very aggressive and I'm not a huge fan of curved screens since I often edit photos when not gaming and it makes it harder to perceive if my lines are straight or not. The colors are also not great and it requires heavy calibration. The blacks can seem pretty washed out in comparison to VA.

It's not the worst monitor at $300 but I feel like I've seen similar screens with slightly higher refresh rate for a little more recently. If I had to do it again I'd prob spend $100 more for something with 144hz or better

Hey guys. I don't know much about monitors. I've been wanting to switch to a 2 monitor set up. Would this do the job? So I can work on 2 work projects on one monitor if I get this? Thanks

Thanks. What would be that 144hz monitor be, any recommendations?
