.

Wondering what the maid looks like.... at $600 to $800 original, surely it comes with a maid.

PS: Apparently, this is a great price for this tool, if you need it.

These are used at the hotel I work at. I'm the guy that fixes them and they rarely break down. Been there a few years and haven't had to change one belt or brush. Had one "bag full" sensor go bad ($60 part) and a few clogs. Other than that these things are tanks. Only thing some people may not like is they have bags.

This is a vacuum you will own for life, seriously, you'll get 10-20 years out of it. And it'll clean better than any other vacuum out there to boot. It has high CFM and Vacuum, so it'll deep clean your carpets and keep them lasting longer overall (it's certified by the Carpet and Rug institute, which is a requirement for warranty with many Carpet manufactures). Being Bagged makes it cleaner (and the bags run about $1/each and should last the average person 3-6 months).
This is also designed to keep it from dying, it's smart enough to shut off if cloged, or set wrong. You can bang these around, they will not break.

You say bags like a bad thing, bagless vacs are a mess to empty, have filter$ you need to clean and replace. You have to empty them after each use, whereas a bag in the average home can go months, then it's a simple clip out and toss, and clip a new clean bag in.
Please think Bagless work so well, but they "fluff" the dirt where a bag vacuum packs it into the bottom of the bag.

Also even the "hepa sealed" bagless vacs leak... bagged vacs insure that all of the dirt is forced through the bag (as a filter). And can't escape via poorly made seals and cracks int eh plastic.

Oh, I was looking at it.... I saw the replaceable bag on one side, but not sure what the tube deal was next to it and have not chased it down. I was also curious if the movement was motorized, as push the handle and it goes forward and pull for it to reverse. I don't do the vacuuming or cleaning, but making it easier for who does is kind of important.

Bags are fine, as long as not overpriced proprietary, but prefer metal impellers over plastic for when items like BB's and little rocks go through that destroyed past Kirby's.....

This is a bypass unit so nothing goes through the fan.
The second bag is a filer you replace every 20-30 full bags (basically every few years). The bags are Sebo or Windsor, a Ton of them are out there since this vacuum has been made for decades for the Hotel industry. They seem to go for about $1/ea, and they are HUGE. They're also the bags used by every Sebo Upright, and some of their canisters (Sebo doesn't like to change things up, keeps the cost of ownership down overall.

I don't think any self propelled vacuums are made anymore. Outside of an old Kirby or Hoover, they had a model they made about 10 years ago, I can't think of any. Usually they consider them to be lightweight enough. If you want an easy vacuum to use get a Oreck, they weigh about 8 lbs (most vac are about 15-16lbs). Problem is they're direct-fan (meaning the dirt goes through the fanblade) so you have to be careful what you suck up as if you suck a coin you can break the fan... not the end of the world, but still sucks as you have to repair it.
