Anywho. Maybe you've got a magic nest, or can't count. But, PLEASE share proof rather than assertion as if you are correct I'd love to get that data out of it. I know there are 3rd party scripts to scrape the google API and get your data but they are a pain.
One of the greatest potential values of a smart thermostat is the data over long periods of time to establish seasonal energy consumption changes. Nest makes this impossible. However, ecobee makes it EASY!

Don't you still have the ability to override manually by app and schedule? I use mine with MAE and these all override their changes.
I've been using ecobee 3 lite for 3 years now. Never got no response from home app it's pretty responsive too. I use home automation with smart sensor to control lights in room never had to use voice or phone to control lights around the house. Feel free to ask any ecobee questions you have I'm using all their products.
You'd need to look at App Store on iOS devices or Home app on your Mac.
Absolutely! I use window door sensors to trigger lights and fans on HomeKit. Camera to set backyard scenes since it supports face recognition. Latency in sensors is about half a second to 2 seconds.

Yes, you can adjust temp to the sensor alone. Use mine like this for our bedroom at night.

Thanks, can you provide any additional info. It is usually $199, so Is there a way to get it to $149? The savings store shows $199 for me and I don't get the emails.
I wouldn't, for warranty reasons alone should it not work properly. If I were to move I'd probably just buy a cheap thermostat and just take this one with me (swap it before you put your home up for sale)...

Considered that. But mine is 5 years old. I'll wait and buy once moved. Builder is installing some Honeywell wifi smart stat that I'll use until I get around to buying ecobee again
