about this deal:
Past 3 prior frontpage deals for the Steens Mountain Jacket were between $21-$22.
Not sure why the hate on this. I have two of these and they're my go-to for warm and fuzzy. I see many other fellas at work with them as well. I'd wear them in summer if I didn't get 👀
These are not jackets to keep you warm when it's cold. I use mine as a jacket when it's mild outside as it keeps me warm with no wind.
It will shrink if you wash it in hot water or dry it on hot setting.
It is worth the cost if you need a jacket until winter hits.
I buy a couple now then wear one a season then toss it and wear another the next. They are cheap and cost less than a shirt at this price so its not expected to last a year imo.
Kinda hilarious how much flak these get... I have two I purchased at the same price a year or so ago they've been great for cool days, around the house or under a jacket in the winter (it gets chilly here in WI). I wash my clothes on warm and haven't had an issue with shrinkage; I think it takes some skill to shrink polyester.

Ya get watcha pay for.
Definitely true to a degree, but as far as outerwear is concerned it's also shockingly easy to get ripped off.

Bought this about 10 yrs ago. Was more on the thicker side and good quality. But this could be now just like you said.
Aren't you supposed to zipper up the jacket when first washing it the prevent waves?
