Benchmade are USA made and probably have better materials. But for a lot of people who pay that much for a Benchmade they're afraid of damaging the knife and then never use it. With these cheap knives you won't mind since you can easily buy another.

Apples to Coconuts. These knives use the bottom tier steel for their blades. I don't know about the fit and finish of the rest of the build quality. But if it's an M&P series quality it should be good. These a great for trying out a new style of knife. They look nice and should have a good blade from the factory. Resharpening will be hard for most people, as that's the nature of the knife steel.

I did buy their automatic mini because I think it has a sub 2.5 inch blade, which I need to legally carry it my county. I don't own an automatic yet and this will be a good way to try out the platform to see if I like it. Can always spend more money later.

I placed an order and was accepted with a NY address for shipping and billing... Let’s see if it shows up

This may help explain the websites similarities:

Circa 2016, Smith & Wesson Holding Corp.'s accessories unit, Battenfeld Technologies, Inc., bought knife maker Taylor Brands for $85 million in cash, expanding its knife and tool portfolio.

Kingsport, Tenn.-based Taylor Brands has been a longtime licensee for Smith & Wesson and M&P branded knives, and is the direct owner of brands such as Schrade, Uncle Henry, Old Timer, and Imperial.

The code they send (if you subscribe to their emails at the bottom of the page) is WELCOME20. The email says it's for 20% off, the bottom of the page says they'll send you $5 off... but the code is for 10% off.

There's some more at 50% off. I have a fixed blade by them that has held up quite well with every day use. Will probably be grabbing another knife from them, now. Thanks!

quick Google search on this knife suggests it drops under $10 from time to time, decent price for something to beat on but im not holding my breath on this being any better than the parade of 10-20 dollar knives that we see here on SD.

Weird maybe but the checkout system looks just like the Smith and Wesson one.

Schrade makes good tactical equipment. Just got in on the Smith & Wesson deal, but this is a great price and may have to pick up a couple of these. Also, wondering if they have any of their tactical pens on sale... Smilie

Anyone mind sharing the difference between these options? What's a G-10 handle vs. drop point vs. clip point etc? The pictures and descriptions are wanting. Thanks
