Basically the support falls on party lines, unless it can be worked into a reconciliation bill or they blow the filibuster it's not happening.
Edit: just for clarity, didn't want to get the politics argument going on this more just a realistic view of whether the credit will get added to make this a much better deal.

The Bolt is a great EV. I've had a LEAF, I3, Smart ED, and Tesla Model X. Currently have a 3 Performance and Y AWD.
Love the Bolt just as much as our Teslas. If you need a new car the Bolt can easily be a second car to a gas car for first time EV drivers.
Certainly not worth anywhere near MSRP (and it'd be nicer if Chevy didn't play these games with the pricing), but it's a fantastic EV for the price. Regularly get 300+ miles on a charge in a warm weather climate.
Not, anti EV. Own a Fiat 500e. So, not even a Tesla fan-boy. But, there is a serious issue with these vehicles and GM needs to do some real fixes not the software change that limited range and failed to resolve the issue.
No wireless android auto/apple car play. A back up camera with the resolution of a potato, super narrow tires that make it noisy and terrible a road holding and inclement weather performance. The seats are cracking, the buttons are wearing off, and the power lift gate is going slower and slower.
The car has a 37k dollar MSRP. That isn't cheap. If you don't care about driving experience, interior quality, range, and don't harshness, this is a cheap person mover.
Yes you have to plug in the phone, how awful. Replace your camera. Buy new tires. No way your seats are cracking at less then one year, buttons wearing off etc. Take it back to Chevy if that is the case. I am sure that has to be covered under some warranty. You are trying to say it is worth spending double the amount just for these "flaws". This makes zero sense. You should go in every entry level car thread and complain about these things. Plus a base Model 3 is not fancy at all. You need some decent addons to make it the Tesla experience.
NOONE is paying 37K lmao. If you can get this car for 20K which I did last year, it is a solid buy if you want electric. Yes it sucks they have this inflated price but it is what it is.
Really can't stand how GM won't just lower the cost of the car. Taxes are double here because you pay them on full price of the car. Any other dealer would just lower purchase price but not GM with these stupid rebates. Was offered an LT for 23.3k yesterday and OTD it would have been almost 28k.
That said this car is fun to drive and I'd probably get another if the price is right.

Instead, call and talk to internet/fleet people...and if they won't give you a price over the phone/email, then chances are they aren't a dealership you want to work with anyways.
And do your homework first, RV, MF, selling price and incentives...plenty of places online to do research...it's not that hard.

Please do not even bring the Model S into this discussion. Really glad you got your seats replaced. I got the LT with all premium features besides the seats and wheel upgrade to save about 3K. Kind of glad I have cloth seats if that becomes a major issue.
Most people from what I've seen do not dc fast charge on the road all the way to 100% because of the stepping down, ie that last 20% takes 30 mins or more so it isn't worth it.
If you can charge at the other end (ie at your parents' house) even at 120V, I would do it like this:
Start full at your house
Run it down to around 20%
Stop at a DC fast charger and charge back up to 50% (should be like 20-25 mins maybe?)
Get to your parents' house
Start charging immediately at 120V. If your parents have newer wiring, you can do 120V 12A and that recharges at a rate of approx 6mi/hour... 120V 8A charges at approx 4mi/hr.
To get to 100% full @12A from 0 takes 43ish hours (but you won't be starting from 0... you should actually be starting at around 20% if your distance is correct) , so you're really looking at like 35 hours. At 8A it takes 65 hours to go from 0-100... but you are looking at like 52 hours.
Bear in mind these are rough numbers under fairly normal conditions. Terrain, how much you use the AC or heat, and how aggressively you drive all play a factor in the numbers going slightly up or down.
Once you get to ur destination, what make you so sure you wont need to drive to somewhereelse? (Food? Bar?)
