As someone who use to do large framing for artwork, I often found myself just using standard ratcheting straps. The corner holds are easy enough to make yourself. The advantage of regular straps is that your length is only limited to how many straps you can tie together.
If you make picture frames or boxes then something like this is a must-have. I think I'll pick up another so that I can put one at the top and bottom of a taller box.

That's what I did - bought two initially. I only use them maybe once a year, but when you need them, they're indispensible. You can also make goofy octagon frames with more clips, etc.
