Also hope a bunch of short sellers and hedge funds are getting burned again.

To meet Pee Wee Herman?
Also this AMC thing is hilarious. It's like a membership club that rewards the CEO. What an age to be alive.
Or maybe knowing we saved the chain or that the hedge funds are losing money or...?

WSB used to be a great place with real DD and actual investors. Now it's full of this nonsense and the tantalizing prospects of tons of uneducated little fish getting in on the action will surely result in a lot of pain. Absolute insanity
Giving your info to AMC and adding to the pool of insanity-driven mobs all for some popcorn? Is this really a fair deal?
Seems like AMC is going to use their liquidity/cash on hand to expand more locations, restructure, enhance user experience, pay off debts, offer extra perks/freebies, etc.
What's even more interesting is the CEO is communicating directly to the retail investor for input/guidance. Also, in a recent press release, he said 'shareholders are the owners of AMC and I work for them'
Hoping for continued success for them and looking forward to what lies in the future 🚀
The Summer 2021 Blockbuster also looks promising this year...
So much more comforting than recent conduct by rocket, who could give a shit about stock price.
PS: And yes, the FED is happy that we're finally achieving 2% inflation. It will be temporary though, according to them, because unlimited money supply definitely won't do a thing to prices of real assets.
Well AMC and GME were/are unique in that the right conditions existed for the stock to be manipulated - IIRC GME actually had more stock shorted than existed at one point. IOW what's happening can't be repeated on just any stock. (But yes too much $$ chasing too few goods..... or investment vehicles..... is bad. I'd wager what's happening in real estate is much of the same - when you anticipate inflation, what makes sense to invest in?)
