I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I lost track on when I received the sign up bonus last time. If I don't meet the 48-month and not eligible for the bonus, will Chase just deny my application out right? I hate to be approved of the card now and not getting the bonus after meeting the spend.
What do you mean downgrade? You can downgrade the card after a certain time limit to avoid paying the yearly fee???
Yes but only after holding the card for 13 months (13th month bec they charge the annual fee on the 1st month of the 12 year cycle). You can downgrade to Chase's no-AF cards such as the freedom unli, freedom flex, or the plain Chase Sapphire.
What's better for my buck? Chase Freedom Unlimited or Chase Sapphire Preferred? I'm trying to make sure I get the best credit card deal over time. I already have the Amex Platinum. Thanks in advance for your advice!
So I applied. Was approved. And have a card on the way. I don't see anywhere that actually notes that I am eligible and will receive the bonus if I spend $4k. Anyone know where I would see that?
Saw this in my Chase pre-approved offers yesterday and jumped on it. it's been 80,000 for months, the extra 20,000 was enough to get my coveted 5th credit pull. no new cards for a little while.
What are you referring to? I just got pre-approved for a mortgage. Would this affect me?
If you're planning on buying a house any time soon, you should avoid opening any credit cards as this will affect both your credit score and your debt to income ratio. This may affect your chances of being approved for the mortgage when you're ready to purchase your house because underwriting will pull your credit scores and debt information again at the time of purchase.

it shows up in the chase app. it took about 12 hours for the card to appear, but if you click on it under accounts and scroll down a little bit, there's a section "Your new account bonus" that tracks your spend to hit $4k in 3 months

So, it seems I would be eligible. Now my only obstacle is how it may effect a potential loan.
To be safe, I had the owner remove me as authorized user first, then applied for the card.
Will do that soon, thanks. Just need to find a way to spend 4k in 3 months other than buying VISA gift cards.
I want the Reserve offer real bad
