I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Awesome. Thanks & repped.
So, it seems I would be eligible. Now my only obstacle is how it may effect a potential loan.
10-20 pts for hard pull shouldn't affect much is you are still in the same grade (fair, excellent, etc)
For the amount of credit / utilization, if you don't have a balance, it might look better!
There's also the lesser known Chase Sapphire (can downgrade to, but can't apply for it directly). Only downside is you can only have one card in the Chase sapphire family. So either you have the CS, CSP, or CSR. I assume you can upgrade again but probably after a period of a year or so again
does anyone know if the 48 month rule applies if i was an authorized user and not main account holder? my wife applied for the reserve about 3 yrs ago and i was an authorized user on the account
Despite the bonus points, does anyone owning this card actually use it to accumulate points?
How is the return rate comparing with those hotel card like IHG reward card ($89 annual fee) or Marriot Bonvey ($95 annual fee), or comparing with United clubs card ($95 annual fee)?
Would like to justify if I should keep the card for long term
If I downgraded my csr a few days ago and it's been more than 48 months since I received a bonus, am I good to apply for this card now? How long should I wait to be sure I qualify for this?
If you product change, you'll need to wait 30-60 days before applying for the new card. It's estimated based on when the credit bureaus update your records to show you are no longer a sapphire cardholder. If you do apply and get rejected, just wait and applying again later. No hit to your credit score for being automatically rejected for that reason.
Just called chase the lady said regardless of when I open my sapphire Reserve I'm not allowed to have two sapphire cards in the same name. Is this true?
Anybody have any ideas on how to check when I received my last Sapphire Preferred bonus? I cancelled the card at some point and it's not on my Chase dashboard at all.

I think it was 2x dining, 1x on all other purchases. Not sure if point redemption is impacted but guess it's a 1:1 valuation at worst
