I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

The referral only shows the 80K bonus. Am I missing something? Trying to convince a few of my friends to jump on this free money.
Referral is currently 80k. I am going to wait and see if they bump up to 100k for referral link as well. (Others said branch offer starts 17th June according to doctor of credit, so I am thinking I will at least wait till the 17th!)
I got my sapphire preferred card last week. I called just now to see about getting my 80K promo upgraded to 100K but they said they can't do that. Even worse I applied for the $80k offer in branch but there was a system error and they said to apply online in the branch and they would credit me back the $95. I just got a rejection letter saying they can't honor the credit. I'll have to go back in branch and ask about the fee.
The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products.
Called Chase 800-436-7970 - Asked them to check and see if I qualify for the signup bonus (I've previously had Chase cards and closed out). Said they couldn't do that but mentioned that the computer system would not allow you to apply for the Sapphire Preferred card if you do not qualify for the bonus (meaning it wouldn't show up as a hard inquiry on your credit report if ineligible). I'm a little suspect - sounds good but has anyone else heard this?
Copy and pasted. Thank you and repped. I just spent the last of what I needed for the 4K but it is still pending so fingers crossed. My wife's account already got the bonus but it might be worth sending one to see what happens.
If they give either of you the additional points please let me know and I'll do the same
wonder if i could get my father to apply, then spend 4k and then transfer his reward pts to my sapphire preferred account.
If you live in the same household yes. If it's different no. You used to be able to transfer to anyone a long time ago but now they're pretty strict and I read that you even have to call in to setup a "household member" to transfer to where before you could add someone on-line.
Anyone have an easy way to check eligibility? I've had both the CSR and CSP in the past, but I believe my most recent downgrade was more than 2 years ago. I see a new(?) rule about not receiving any cardmember bonus in the past 48 months though...
I just looked at the memo again and don't see any specifics or fine print on in branch start date. It says the 100k offer starts on 6/3 and at the bottom it said additional in branch only offers with no date. There was the normal 48 month fine print as well for what its worth so it made it sound like it is live now in branch. My wife deosn't work in the branch so I can't get much more info but may be worth giving your local branch a call or stop in. Since its a new offer whoever got told its 80k may have had an uninformed rep.
