I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

The extra 20K is not so compelling when you factor in the AF waiver + grocery credit for the B&M offer, especially if you have to drive tens of minutes to get to a branch and then possibly wait around for a banker (even with an appt).
What is grocery credit if apply in the bank? I applied last week but they they did not give grocery credit as you mentioned. Thanks
1. You are not eligible as long as you have a Sapphire card regardless of whether you are a primary or authorized user.
2. It takes 31 days for "the system" to "recognize" an existing Sapphire cancellation/downgrade to non-Sapphire card.
3. Therefore, cancel now and apply in 31 days.
I cancelled my existing sapphire and asked them how long before I should apply for the new one. The CSR got her supervisor involved and they told me 48 hours is how long it will take to reflect in the system that I am no longer a sapphire card holder. It's a balance between waiting to make sure the system checks out, and when the offer will expire. I wished there was an official end date on the offer so we can plan accordingly.
I feel like I had a sapphire at some point and could have been within the 48 month timeframe, but I don't remember.
When I login and look at credit card offers using the chase app on my phone, it shows the 100000k bonus if I apply for the card. Anyone know since it is showing me the offer when logged into my chase app, does that mean I haven't had a sapphire card within the past 48 months and eligible?
Lastly, I have two chase cards, one is a freedom card that I use for everything and the other is and chase Amazon card that is used for all the amazon purchases. Anyone know if they allow for someone to have three of their credit cards at the same time.

It is 48 months from the date you received your Sapphire (any versions) bonus. You have to check your old online statement to find out. If 48 months have passed or you didn't get any Sapphire sign-up bonus, then you are eligible.
The showing of the offer does not make you eligible. Chase will let you apply and just doesn't issue the bonus because you are ineligible.
Many people have more than 4 Chase cards. As long as you are within the 5/24 rule, you are good.
OK, here's how you *might* be able to figure out when you last got the bonus on a Sapphire card you had a while back:
Call the Customer Service for credit cards (I called 800-035-9935 . Looks like Sapphire Reserve card # is 800-436-7970 , might work same/better)
They cannot see any closed cards after sometime in your profile, and even with your SS# etc I didn't get anywhere with the rep. Then after escalating to a supervisor, with the last 4 of the closed cards, she was able to look for the statements, and was able to figure out I got my Reserve bonus in Nov 2016 (opened Sep 16) and Preferred bonus in Jan 2017. (opened Oct 16)
So, get your last 4 of your CC Numbers, and call and find a good rep, or escalate to a supervisor to look for statements of the closed cards.. Avoid getting surprised by the 48 month rule..
BTW, Chase sends a welcome email when account is approved with the last 4 digits, so if you have the email account, search for "chase sapphire" . That's how I found my card#s
You can still access your online statements on a computer even if you close your account. That may be easier.
If it is true the offer will be enhanced in a couple of weeks, with a branch visit application which will waive the annual fee, that's unfortunate for me. I applied this morning and was approved. Will I see the $95 annual fee on my first statement?
Just tried applying online. After submission there was a message saying they need to review my application and get back to me. I applied with my chase freedom account signed in and hope that I would get an answer instantly.

But then again, I've always been honest about my income.
