I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Anybody have any experience using the points for airline tickets? Maybe a plane ticket to Europe? Is it possible and straight forward to bring the point?
Yep. I compared the price elsewhere and once I confirmed that the price is the same through Chase, then I booked the ticket. However, this was pre-pandemic, but I'd imagine the process is still the same.
I just life's the freeze and it still says hey need to review it
Same here. Lifted freezes and applied yesterday. Site still said they needed to review it. Today, the card appeared to my Chase app. I.e. I am approved. So it took about 24 hours for me. Seems that instant approval is not as common anymore.
Does anyone know how to find out when they got their last cardmember bonus? I opened my CSR in 2017, but don't remember what date I got my bonus. Now that the card is closed, I can't access my statements or my Ultimate Rewards to confirm. They can't access that information in the branch either. To make it even more confusing, their computer system doesn't let me open the CSP - but doesn't give any information why! Anyone else have this experience?
Check your (free) credit report to find out when it closed. Chase advised me to do this since they didn't have info of my last Chase Saphire closing date.
How confident is everyone that this will be honored in Chase branches in a couple of weeks? It would be great to get the annual fee waived if possible.
Edit: One more question. Does getting this card count as a hard inquiry pull if my Chase account is already showing that I'm pre-approved for this deal? I just bought my house a month ago and that resulted in two hard credit inquiries. My score is around 810 now. Not sure if it's a good idea to also apply for this.
Closest branch is about an hour away. Not sure it's worth it to me to make the hike to their office. Any idea if online or calling will offer the same local branch offer after the 17th?

Yes, you'll get a hard pull. Seeing this in the "offers for you" just means they think you'd be interested in it, not that you're already approved.
Not a good idea to cancel in the first year after getting the SUB. Just ride it out and then downgrade to a Freedom card or, if you must, cancel.
Yeah, I think the no annual fee downgrade options are currently the Freedom Flex or the Freedom Unlimited? I already have a regular Freedom, so will have to decide if I want another one or go with the Unlimited this time.

BS. if they don't know how can enforce the timeline?

By default; if a card is approved it results in a hard inquiry. Otherwise tens of thousands in debt could be approved without any impact to person's credit score if this rule is not enforced..

You suffer from serious logic issues.
Even if you score drops by 20 points because you were approved for this card why would the lower score matter now that you already have the credit you sought to acquire including the mortgage? Its not like you are looking for even more credit or a spouse/partner is looking to evaluate your manliness based on your credit score.

Does day equal night? Is the sun the same as the moon? Are apples the same as oranges? Is black the same as white? If you have an unequivocal answer to this question, you also have the answer to your question.

Has anyone successfully able to ask Chase to match this 100k offer?

1) I think I am 3 - 4 months away from being eligible since I did my CSR bonus, do you know if I called on they would be willing to work with me?
2) If the answer is no to #1, my wife is an authorized user on my CSR, is she eligible for this promotion?
