I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Got this card back in Mrach at 80k. I am the main card holder but my wife is on my card as well. Can my wife open her card separately now for the 100K points?

Did you actually see it on their screen ?
I did not see it on screen but the banker confirmed to me that it is 100k points and I will see it when I receive the card package.
I confirmed twice and she mentioned it was 100k

Called 2 branches, first branch said only 80k bonus offer available but was able to get the offer in another branch with 100k bonus, waived annual fee and $50 grocery statement credit.

Thanks OP!

Would using Plastiq to pay my car payment count towards the $4k spending? I have 5% cashback on cable/tv/etc with other cards, so don't want to use this for paying those at the moment. Thanks!

I goofed and applied to this card a few days ago when it first came out online instead of at a branch to get the $95 fee waived and $50 credit.

i tried calling the customer service and they said that they wont match the in branch offer.

however, he said that since i havent used my card yet, I can reject the account (this is different than closing) and then reapply via in branch.

has anyone heard of this? is it worth it for the additional $145 bonus?
not sure if this would lower my chances of getting approved the second time when i go to the branch since I would have already had one hard inquiry on it?

So.. question for youse. To quickly get to the $4k spend amount could you not just add the Chase card as a payment option in PayPal.. send money via PayPal to a friend. Then have that friend pay you back to pay off your card?

I'm in the same boat. Applied two days ago, then discovered that the local branch has a slightly better deal. You won't lower your chances of getting approved the second time, but you won't be able to avoid the extra hard inquiry. (I'm assuming you aren't applying to a bunch of other non-Chase cards right now, and this would be only your second Chase hard inquiry in a one-month period).

I think it's worth it for the extra $145 bonus, unless you have a borderline credit score and you are planning to do a large loan (car purchase, mortgage) in the next year.

Paypal will charge a 2.9% fee when sending money from a credit card.
No fee if you are sending money from a bank account.

I got CSP last week for 80K bonus . Just called to see if they would up my bonus to 100K. Frist rep said nope. Called again and asked for a manager. After some back and forth she said "let me see what I can do" and then 5 minutes later "you are good to go." I hope she didn't say that to just get rid of me. YMMV.
Recently in the Chase app I saw an area that tracks your spending until you hit the $4k and also shows the (80k) sign up bonus you may be eligible for right on there. I'm on the same boat as you. Gonna call to see if they can do anything

Reaching 4k limit is easy, just keep buying Playstation 5 consoles and then resell them to get your money back Smilie
Or reach out to family/friends and ask if they need to make any large purchases and use your card for it and give you cash back.
Or just buy 4000$ worth of Bitcoin or Ethereum, and hold it till it goes up by at least 5% (to cover all your fees) and cash out.

Spending the points is easy. My favorite way is to use it on Hyatt hotels. A hotel room which would cost ~350$ / night you can get for 12-15,000 points, 2x-3x value of your points easy.

ah ok thank you. did you already do this yourself and it worked? i was just worried about not getting approved again so wasnt sure if it was worth the hassle.

How do these points work? Are they really worth $1250? 100k of airline points are not usually worth $1250 anymore (I know at least United is not). How do you use these points?

Can you use them to buy tickets for someone else (like your kids)? I don't usually use points to buy tickets for myself because i am usually trying to reach airline status.
