I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I'm preapproved for this card however my issue is that I don't have anything to spend $4k on in 3 months, do Amazon/Visa gift cards count towards the $4k? Any other "hack" to fulfill the $4k requirement?

Spend is spend, chase doesn't care on what
You can also often pre-pay various utilities/bills to hit spend targets too.
If I apply, how long does it take to get approved? Then how long does it take to get the card? Does the 4 months start as soon as you get the card, or is it when you make your first transaction?
Anyone have the number to call to have the card expedited? Have about 5k to spend next week and would be great if i can have it by Monday
They won't expedite. I was in the same situation. Even asked them to provide me my account number over the phone so I could put it in for online purpose and they wouldn't.
When downgrading CSR to Freedom, do they refund prorated Annual fee or full on nothing by default? If partial or no refund by default, what is the best way to downgrade to maximize refund?

That was the response I got at least.
I had my card expedited and it came within 2 days. I have an existing Chase account so I used the Secure Message feature to request expedited processing and explained that I needed to make some important purchases. This was over the weekend and I got a response the same day. I'm sure there must be a way to do this with CS, just explain the situation and ask for Rush Delivery.

There are a lot you can do. You can pay your expenses upfront, such as utility bills, cell phone, internet/cable TV, insurance, taxes, etc. You can also pay for your friends or family members expenses and have them reimburse you. Finally, you can also buy merchant gift cards that you will often shop at, such as Best Buy and Amazon gift cards, or gas cards like BP and ExxonMobil if you drive. If you shop at Costco, Costco Shop card is another option.

48 months from last receiving the bonus, not from canceling the card. I have heard however, that you should wait 60 days from canceling the card. So 48 months from last receiving the bonus and 60 days after canceling card. Bonus probably won't be the same in 2 months tho

If you take the time to investigate, there are a lot of expenses that you might be able to prepay.
For me, I can prepay my Cricket Wireless, electric bill, and water bill with no upper limit as to how much I can prepay. (I'm currently paid up through August for my electric and water bills and up through November for Cricket Wireless.)
If you're having a hard time meeting the $4K spend threshold, I suggest you make a comprehensive list of all your monthly expenses:
- Groceries (you can buy grocery store gift cards)
- Rent (check with your landlord on credit card payment options). Also Venmo/Plastiq fee options.
- Utilities (check for pre-pay options)
- Gas (buy pre-paid gas cards)
- Taxes, licenses, registrations (prepay or early pay)
- Insurance, including medical (prepay)
- Etc., etc., etc.
And if you still need to generate more spending, then purchase Amazon GC or other store/restaurant gift cards (not VISA GC ... Chase might consider that too close to being a cash equivalent).*
* _ Some people have bought thousands of dollars with VISA gift cards without a hitch. If you go that route, be sure to include some incidental (small) item with the purchase to avoid an "even number" purchase (like $2000) which tends to trigger a fraud alert. Also, it may help coding the item as a qualified purchase. E.g., buying a small grocery item with the VISA gift card in a grocery store might help ensure that the gift card is coded as a grocery item.
I opened the card at a branch and the client manager there told me that I can get 100k points even though the screen showed 80k. But when I logged into my account today, it still says 80k. For those who opened the card at branch, do you have the same issue? The account manager did not give me any proof of 100k bonus.
Opened at a branch and confirmed it will be 100k. Your post got me curious so I logged into my account and mine says 80k as well.

Yes true. Called 5/24 rule. I thought they actually made it stricter?
