I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I also applied today in branch. The banker knew the offer is for 100,000 points even though it said 80,000 on the application. I checked with her multiple times and she assured me that I will get 80,000 plus another 20,000, annual fee waived and $50 grocery credit. Got instant approval. Now I wait for the card to arrive. It is already showing up in online account though. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and providing answers.
Anyone able to add card to digital wallet before receiving the physical card ?
I tried doing it from chase app, but it doesn't let this new card to be added to wallet.
you had reserve a week ago? how long ago did previous bonus posted to your account?
if less than 2 year they can approve you for card, but will deny bonus
Sorry, I should've been more specific. I've had the Reserve card for about 5 years now (signed up when they had the 100k offer). I downgraded my Reserve card last Friday and decided to wait a week before applying the Preferred.

Any reason why you decided to do it online as opposed to in branch for the $95 annual fee waiver?
Downgraded CSR to Freedom on 6/11 been to 4 branches and none were able to see the ability for me to apply in branch despite me being able to online. Some branches called credit card services and they didn't provide any help. Said its 100k online 80k in branch but fee waived.
I called the phone number at the back of the card after activating it and spoke with a customer service. I asked what is my sign up bonus is after meeting the $4k spending requirement without mentioning anything about 100k point. She replied that it is 100k bonus. I agree that chase customer service is all over the place but I think the bonus is definitely 100k.
I did the same and was told it will show as 80k but the 20k bonus will be added after the requirements are met. When I signed up at the bank, the banker called the backend and was told it would only be 80k. So who know who is right and wrong. :/
Data Point: I downgraded my CSP to Sapphire on Monday. The online option was available on Wednesday. I went in to the branch over lunch and the banker did not have the option available to apply online. She clearly knew what she was doing because she told me not to worry because this happens sometime. She just had to create a new profile for me, apply and then merge the profiles. I already have a large credit line with Chase, so we had to call in and re-allocate the credit line from one of my other cards. After moving my credit, I was approved.
The in branch offer did say 80K points but without my asking, the banker said that additional 20K bonus will be added to match the online offer. She also confirmed the waived Annual fee. No mention of the grocery credit. I didn't ask. If I get it by default great, if not, I am fine with that too.

No downgrade. The application was my first Chase app and did it online. I got a mailer for 70k so decided to just jump on the 100k one instead
Applied online on 6/17 and got approved.
