I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Was at the branch. Even got them to call their hotline. They said if I apply instore I only get 80k point. But if I do it online it's 100k.
So I'll be doing it online.
I dont know if there's a specific universal code they have for the banker to input
It didn't say, all it said is that I was going to get a letter in 7-10 days explaining why.
If you have applied for 5 or more credit cards(any cards not only chase) in last 2 years, then you get declined. Chase strictly follows the rule unlike other credit cards.
I had offer for 100k. I applied in branch and got approved. Sent a secure message to confirm on 100k bonus, they said I would get only 80k not 100k points. Looks like I have to wait and see when it gets credited.
Got 100k offer with fee waived and $50 grocery credit today. She showed me the 80k but said to ignore it and I would get the 100. Got denied at first and had to call recon at the branch and got it pushed through
Got tired of waiting and was concerned they would pull the offer and just got it through the branch.
Referral 15k bonus is taxable, while branch perks of no AF and groceries are likely not. It might be almost the same, depending on the tax bracket.
How is 15k referral bonus taxable? First it's below the $600 threshold and last I checked it's still credit card points so it's not taxable. Was waiting to get a few people to sign up and was actually going to give them the $150 when I got the referral bonus as I would rather have the points than the $ but not if I have to pay tax on it.
They send sometimes 1099-MISC now, even below $600. Quite a few DPs. Only referral points are taxable, and sometimes retention waving annual fee. Not this offer which is tied to spend.
They just value 1c per point.

I just came back from a branch. The rep told me it is showing 80k but ignore it, the actual offer is 100k points with $95 AF waived and grocery credit $50. So, asked the rep to proceed with the credit card application. I got approved and also they expedited my card delivery. I can also see the sapphire card added to my chase online account. It was smooth.

Converted my CSR last Friday 6/11. Went to branch the following Wednesday, Thursday, Friday but application haven't shown up yet till today Saturday 6/19. Applied but was not instant approved. 5min later got a call from rep asking to reshuffle credit lines then got approved. Asked them to escalate shipping but they said can't do it yet. Asked to call back tomorrow.

Same experience today. The banker said it is $100K points even if it is shown $80K points on the wall. In and out with the approval around 10 minutes.
Can i downgrade to the free chase card and reapply since i haven't gotten a new card in 5 years? Is there a business card I can get instead for the same bonus? Tia!
