I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I sent a secure message via my Chase app to confirm the bonus points I should get. Initially, their response was 80k points, and that they couldn't "match" the 100k points offer. I countered by saying that I applied in branch and was told it should be 100k points, so I wasn't trying to match anything. This was their response:

"I do see that your account was applied in a Chase branch. At this time, we could only confirm that your account would earn 80,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000.00 on purchases in the first three months from account opening. If your account is eligible, you'll receive the additional bonus of 20,000 points once you meet the spending goal within three months from account opening."

I have every reason to believe that I'm "eligible" to receive the additional 20k points, so I'm not too worried about it.

Same experience here, applied in branch got approved today but online account and the phone rep is saying only 80K offer is applied to my account. This is the first time I had such a bad experience with Chase. Waiting to hear back from the branch manager if he can confirm that I would still get the 100K + AF waiver + $50 GC

I have a chase freedom card and it says in my online account I'm already approved for CSP. Will this upgrade my freedom card so I don't have it anymore? I would like to keep my freedom card.

If you have received your card then read the papers came with it. It says on one of those papers, if you have first year fee waived or not.

No. You will get a new CSP if you are approved. Unless Chase has your consent, they will not just upgrade your Freedom to CSP.

Points can be taxed if there is no spend involved. They are only tax-exempt because it is considered as a rebate for the minimum spend.

I got one today in branch. Paperwork said first year fee waived, $50 grocery credit and 80k points.

Rep knew about 100k offer and said not to worry about it and that he was told directly they'd honor it.

He said something about how they're going to go 100k points for all the channels (including online and referrals) but were also soon dropping grocery and the 1st year fee waiver everywhere and this was an overlap period where they were giving all the goods. Not sure how accurate that is but it made me feel better and feelings are nice.

Any idea how to check when was the last time I had this card? I had it in the past but don't recall if it was over 4 years ago or not.

Call customer service or get a credit report and find your card number.
