I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Why did you need to go to the branch three times? Also what did you mean by the application not showing up until the 19th? Thanks
Same question here - downgraded from sapphire to freedom - applied after 2 days got denied since system is showing old sapphire active - how to know its been downgraded and old sapphire is no longer showing active?
Pretty much every data point that we've seen in this thread is that it's a toss up whether a branch rep will know about the 100k. The reps that have already talked to corporate will know about the 100k.
The current branch offer is 80k/waived/50 grocery on their computers and that's all many of them will tell you. If you're persistent enough to make them call their corporate overlords, they'll find out about the 100k/waived/50, which seems to be some later hack where they'll tack on the extra 20k "manually" later. Most people seem to trust that they will do so and apply for the card.
Eventually, they'll update their systems to 100k, but the rumor is that they'll drop the 50 grocery (likely) and possibly even the waived annual fee (no consensus) when all the marketing materials are updated.
Also, there's no set date on when this switch is happening (maybe July) and no set date on when 100k is ending (just "TBD").
Ok..so...just go apply it at the branch to secure the $50 credit groceries, 1st year AF waived...and the worse care is getting 80k points instead of 100k points...I mean it's still worth at least $800 (or $1000 in travel)...that's still a good deal right?!
Might be stuck with online deal. Branches here are understaffed or closed for training. Said they probably couldn't get me an appointment for 2 1/2 weeks. Not sure if walk-in would help or not.
My story: I am a chase customer for last 4 year with 2 credit cards from them. I recently moved from Texas to Mississipi and was shocked when I found there is just one branch in this state about 150 miles from that too opened very recently. Long story short I called the bank and told them its stupid for me to travel so far to get the in bank offer, they were really helpful and sent me a link directly and said I can apply from that link and I will get 100k+$95 waived+$50 grocery credit. I applied with that link and got instant approval with 12.3k credit.
I could not see the $95 waive or $50 grocery credit when I submitted my application. But they assured me it will work even if not shown there if not I can contact them. I do not know if this works for anyone else so ymmv.

Just my personal opinion but I'd say it's pretty likely that all branch apps are 100k now since it seems like there's enough people who went up the ladder to confirm that. But anything is possible and not 100% guaranteed and the worst case is 80k.
It's a good deal only if you can hit the 4k spend to get the bonus.
80k UR is worth minimum 800 and probably more if you work it into dining/travel. (They're typically valued up to 2 cents if you actually transfer them to outside partners and finangle good flight/hotel deals out it but that's only for people that actually travel a bit. Dining rebates are 1.25 cents already.)
The whole reason they're doing this is get all the post pandemic spending from people that are starting to travel again so all the credit cards are ramping up sign up bonuses. I'm sure they expect a ton of people to dump the card in 12 months + 1 day but whatever long-term clients they gain might be worth it (think gym memberships). It's the same as when they did the CSR 100k.
To the other person, grocery credits are automatic. You just spend at grocery store and the statement credit shows up.
Add another to the list of the banker telling me to ignore the 80k points and that it's actually 100k + AF waived + $50 grocery credit. His explanation was that basically corporate hadn't updated all the branches in time and that it actually DOES apply to all branches and it will show up. Also said to call him if there's an issue later on and they'll get it taken care of, we'll see!

It takes time for their system to clear out in order for you to apply. In my case it was 6 business days. Since I live so close by the branch and it takes literally 1 minute for the rep to check, I decided to stop by every day to check till I'm able to apply.
Just did it. Walked in. Asked about the card. The guy already read my mind. "It's this one you want right? No worries about it saying 80k. You'll get 100k" then he show me what appeared to be a message board on his computer screen spelling it all out: 100k if spending $4k after first 3 months. No AF for year one. $50 credit on groceries. Once submitted it showed up right away on my chase app. Although it still saying 80k. The guy said updates being pushed out very soon. Oh and I didn't ask but he said I'll get it sent to you in 2 days. You should get it this Wednesday. And "it's gonna be a metal piece which is nice" he said. I do hope so.

I got my card today but it shows 80k points. Should I contact the branch about it?
How do I get the grocery credit ?
