I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I signed up for this card today at branch. Even though the offer says 80k points, the representative told me it is actually 100k. Also, able to get $50 grocery credit and AF waived for first year. Worth the time to visit the branch instead of applying online.
"I called the branch today to make and appt for tomorrow and asked if they still have the promotion on the CSP. The guy said yes and mentioned 100k pts, waived fee and grocery credit. Says they will go into more details when I come in.
I went in and got the card today. The rep was telling me 80k, I mentioned that the other guy told me 100k when I called the day before. I was willing to continue but she went and asked him and came back and said yes to the 100k. Mentioned that the marketing team was slow to push the updates or whatever.
Thanks for those that mentioned getting the Costco shop card to meet the 4k. That will definitely get me there comfortably.

I signed up in branch today, approved. Called to verify the 100k afterward and they told me it was coded as 80k no annual fee. Spoke to a manager who said they'd get it fixed. But said manager was adamant that there was no $50 grocery credit. I hate having to fight to get the advertised offer. Such a waste of time. Asked to have some kind of credit for the inconvenience. Denied on that too. Any suggestions?
Can I cancel my existing sapphire card (not preferred) and apply this? Will I be eligible for this promo?
It depends. Take the date you qualified for your last Sapphire point promotion (Reserve or preferred), not to be confused with opening date (likely within 3 months of opening date). If this date is > 48 months from today's date, you may be eligible if you close, then reopen a Sapphire card to obtain the new promotion.
I was pre-approved for the 100k offer so I submitted my application online and approved in seconds and requested expedited shipping over the phone.
I didn`t want to hassle in the branch to waive the fee and $50 credit
That's not very SD of you... did you at least give someone a referral?
Are you sure that's the case? In the past, I've understood it to be that as long as you're over 4 years since you last applied and under the 5/24 rule (or similar) you should be approved. Has anyone with the CSR confirmed they got denied?
