I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Besides the sign-up bonus, is this card worth it for travel benefits? Any suggestions for the best credit card if say you travel 25% out the year?
This is an entry-level travel card. It has 2X back on travel and dining, decent trip insurance, primary car rental coverage, and no foreign transaction fees. That's pretty much it.
It seems like you probably would benefit from a more fully-featured travel card, but there's no way to make a recommendation to you based on the information you've provided. In general, you might consider a card that provides airport lounge access, free checked bags (unless you already have this perk through airline status), or more points/miles on your flight bookings. Some cards will also help you earn airline status more quickly, if that's relevant to you. You might also consider a hotel-branded card to earn more points or get status (assuming you don't already have it).

Second this. If you are a hilton fan, I would recommend the Aspire card: for 450 fee you get diamond status, priority pass membership for airport lounge, 250 resort credit and a free night certificate annually, 250 airline credit per calendar year. You get 14 points per dollar spent on hilton. I usually rack up around 40k point per stay, more if there is a hilton promotion. You can find detailed review on the points guy blog.
Wanted to share my experience, applied in branch and the online tracker says 80K bonus, but the customer service via SM confirmed that i would be getting all the 3 offers ($100K+AF Waived+$50GC)

went in branch today, rep mentioned it was 80k plus 20k bonus, $50 grocery credit, AF waived. approved on the spot for $21.5k. got it expedited as well since i want to use it on rent.

FWIW I agree the aspire is worth getting and keeping specifically for the credits and free night (which if you can get legit value from them means you pay $450/yr for $500 in credits, plus a free night, plus Diamond status...though the $250 resort credit is more questionable on getting full value from since it only applies to a pretty small list of properties)...
I would add priority pass to the value- but there's already so many other cards that offer it- and a better version of it too...(for example the CSR and Prestige both also get you free meals at PP restaurants that the amex PP cards do not- plus Prestige allows more than 2 guests if they're all immediate family so useful for folks with large families)
Putting your actual Hilton spend on it will be somewhat YMMV depending how much value you can get from flexible reward points on other cards...
For example you can get 5x TYP or MR points on hotel stays from both Citi or Amex on their premium cards.... and getting 3x or more the value for those points compared to what you can get for Hilton points isn't at all unreasonable to do for some travelers.
Over at Chase you can get 3x UR with a CSR, and again it's not that hard to manage 5x more value per point form UR than Hilton points for some travelers (esp. booking business or first on overseas flights, sometimes even on Hyatt bookings or coach flights).
