I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I removed myself (sent secure message from Chase app) from her account, and applied in the branch after about 10 days. It shows 80k in progress bar in the app. And per banker, will get 20k points once spending limit met.
You mean the branch banker entered your partner's referral code on your application so your partner can get 20k referral points?
Nvm, I assume you mean additional 20k will be added to make it 80k + 20k = 100k
I am existing Sapphire card holder from 2011. I am thinking of closing existing card and open new one to take advantage. How long do i have to wait after closing account to apply again? Can i just apply next day ? Does anybody have experience with such situation.
Do i have option of downgrading instead of closing my saphire card and then apply for new sapphire card and get bonus - Is that possible. Please share experience. I want to make sure I don't disqualify myself from 1000000 reward bonus.
Also, I am authorised user on wife's sapphire card. Do i have remove myself from it to make sure I qualified. Also, by doing that, she can refer me for new account and she can get can referral bonus.
When you see you are pre-approved for the Sapphire Preferred, it means you are the target who meets specific criteria of the Sapphire Preferred card. When you apply, you are applying for a new credit. Thus, there will be a hard pull on you. Unless Chase has your consent, they will not convert your Slate to Sapphire Preferred. In a circumstance like Slate being discontinued, then Chase will convert your Slate to another same-tier card. Sapphire Preferred is not considered a same-tier card of Slate. Freedom Unlimited is. Keep in mind that a product change will not qualify for the sign-up bonus of 100K points.
There are certain categories you can redeem your points with 125%. Grocery, travel, home improvement, charity, restaurant, are all among the categories.
So If I downgrade my sapphire card to a different card and then apply for new sapphire prefered card, I wont' get bonus reward of 1000000 ? But some people indicated they have done same thing. They are not going to get reward bonus ?
No, you got me wrong. I meant, for instance, you will not qualify for SUB of Sapphire Preferred simply by converting your Slate to it. In reality I doubt you can do that. You have to actually apply for CSP to get SUB of 100K points. People here downgraded their CSP to Unlimited before applying for another CSP is because Chase permits customers to have only one Sapphire card at a time.

As long as one did not receive new card member bonus (like this one) in the past 48 months.
Is it possible to combine referral bonus and AF waived and $50 grocery credit? I am about to bring my wife to apply in branch and I have chase sapphire reserve.
I plan to buy a set of master bedroom furniture. Is it good way to save over $1000 if I apply for this credit card ?
Pretty much. You can cash out for 1000 statement credit if you'd like. But if you do any type of traveling, you can get 1250 worth die to the 25 percent increase by using the chase portal to book things like a flight or hotel
Are there others who don't see the bonus tracker on their chase account ? Or did anyone's take a few days to show up? Just got approved, but no tracker showing.
I just got approved yesterday and right after approval, I saw the card on the chase app. When clicking that card to go to the summary, there was a tracker that showed how much out of 4K my spending was at
it shows up in the chase app. it took about 12 hours for the card to appear, but if you click on it under accounts and scroll down a little bit, there's a section "Your new account bonus" that tracks your spend to hit $4k in 3 months
I don't see anything that says "your new account bonus". Do I have to use the card first? Still waiting to receive it bin the mail.
Yes, but you will be charged a fee[irs.gov] for paying IRS by credit card. To play it safe, call Chase to set your cash advance down to $100, which is the minimum you can set to. You cannot disable cash advance option though.
I believe it's 2% but that's a quick way to get to the 4k requirement. I just want to make sure that I don't pay the service charge only to find out that it didn't count. Is there a list of purchases that don't qualify posted anywhere?

I used another chase cc in may and it qualified as purchase. used payusatax
I noticed in the Chase app, it now has on the main tab, a section that will show me my progress towards my $4000 spend goal . It took less than 24 hours from when I was approved for it to show up. I did call CS about 20 minutes after being approved to expedite a card to me so maybe that got the ball rolling faster. Not sure.
However on a side note, it says towards my "80,000 bonus" which is supposed to be 100k or at least the branch representative said it would really be 100k.
Thanks. The card showed up right away in my account, but the bonus tracker wasn't there yesterday. This morning it showed up. I was a little worried because my last bonus was 48 months and 1 day ago 😆
