I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

We have a while to go till the next statement. Will wait till then before calling.
Hi there, i applied too in the branch. the lady did show me the 80+20K offer. But my tracker only shows 80K in the app. is the same for you? not sure if they lady duped me, i sent a message to the customer service agent and he/she replied back 80K. i am assuming that agent is not aware of the 80K+20K details..
I don't really see a value to converting the Slate card. If you want a card that gets you points, I would just apply for one with a sign up bonus, whether it's the Preferred or not.
Because of 5/24 for one...
It wouldn't make much sense to convert a slate to a CSP, because the signup bonus is worth using a 5/24 slot.
it MIGHT make sense to convert a slate to a Freedom or Freedom Unlimited if you have better things to do with your 5/24 slots than open a new one of those.
It also used to make sense to convert a slate into a SECOND Freedom card to give you an extra $1500 per quarter 5x cap.... not sure if this is still possible with the changes to the regular Freedom (semi replaced by the freedom flex)

Yes. Same here. Applied in the branch. Tracker says 80K and says I will get that 80K (because I met the 4K spend already). Per the instructions to the branches, there will be an additional 20K posting as well. Lets see. I think it will come along.
You should (1) apply for the CSP, and (2) upgrade the Slate to Unlimited to create a Chase Bifecta (you will be able to earn 1.5 points per $ everywhere and move those points to the CSP).
forgot to mention in the process of purchasing a new home so I don't need a credit pull that's why I am going with the product change option for the slate card… just don't know which one makes more sense to convert to.
So is there any confirmed workaround for referring CSR to SCP? I see the option in my CSR account to get the 20K CSP referral bonus, but when I confirm my CSR card info, I get "offer not available."
What cards are people using referrals links for to get the CSP 20K referral bonus?

I would go with the Unlimited. It doesn't make sense to start paying $95 AF without a good reason (i.e. bonus). YMMV, but the Unlimited is probably a better card to collect points on a daily basis.
You are forgoing $145 in benefits (not just the $95 in annual fee waiver) to use your family member's code so that they can receive $200. People often do this when the referrer is their spouse.
Spouse makes sense assuming you guys share all your money (which is not guaranteed in every marriage). But any other family member makes no sense unless they reimburse you $145.
You would do this because, similar to the eBay deal, each Poster on that Reddit is promising to share and pay the User of Poster's referral code a portion of the Poster's 20k referral bonus. And on Reddit (as opposed to eBay), you don't have to pay the Referrer anything.
Lol promise. And you trust some random on Reddit to send you actual real money? If so, I have some swamp land to sell to you.
If I get the money upfront I'd do it (although any moron willing to send someone money who promises to do something is a sucker).
Costco Shop Cards / Sams Club Gift Cards are a good option to use toward the $4000. Can be used for gas and merchandise. Here in Missouri we have a tax free weekend from Aug. 6-8. During this three-day period, you can purchase items such as school supplies, clothing and computers without paying the tax. Great time to buy my new Mac book tax free !
The sales tax exemption is limited to:
Clothing – any article having a taxable value of $100 or less
School supplies – not to exceed $50 per purchase
Computer software – taxable value of $350 or less
Personal computers – not to exceed $1,500
Computer peripheral devices – not to exceed $1,500
Graphing calculators - not to exceed $150
